If you didn't enjoy his domination of DDP I would ask you this:
What other boring fights has he had?
None but how many times have we seen this? A guy goes to the top then starts fighting super passively to protect his rank and status. If you didn't enjoy his domination of DDP I would ask you this:

Its one fight. If his first defense isn't exciting maybe you'll have a point.None but how many times have we seen this? A guy goes to the top then starts fighting super passively to protect his rank and status.
Lots of boring fighters were killers on their way up. Jon fitch finished 4 of his first 7 before losing to GSP for example. It’s easy to take some risk when you’re fighting down in level.
I mean is Pereria himself that big of a star outside of MMA fans?
I don't think the other fights are really relevant here, it doesn't change the fact his fight with DDP was in fact boring. His other fights are exciting no doubt.
I think the biggest thing that upset people wasn't that the fight was boring, it was that they had high expectations for an exciting fight and a Khamzat domination and finish. It was his biggest fight and fans really wanted to see a dominant and exciting finish. Khamzat brings crazy confidence and pretty much buzzsaws through his opponents, so when you get a controlled uneventful 5 round decision, fans will be let down. They wanted that rush we got from a fight like Perrerira/Ank last weekend.
With guys like Merab you know what you're gonna get, with Khamzat I think it surprised people and it let them down. I know that's how I felt, I was hoping for a 1st round smash.
This is an underrated aspect…- Ugly
