Max fights nothing like a Diaz brother so he won't be susceptible in the same way.

He doesn't, but both do eat a lot of leg kicks. Stephens, lamas, pettis, swanson and even Aldo in the rematch landed a lot of hard, unchecked leg kicks. They just don't seem to phase him, plus he can switch stances which helps him.
