Here's a quick test to determine whether an activity is a sport or not: could women compete directly against men? According to that test golf is not, as a couple of women have competed in men's tournaments. Neither is car racing, though it may be physically demanding.

You can go on forever, but I think at the end of the day we have to agree there is no simple, clear cut definition of what a sport is.
That being said, we can sense what sports require the greatest physical and mental output to be able to win at.

white people with lots of money like every sport that they can exploit and get a bunch of sponsors and get stupid people to buy what the sponsors tell them to.

john daly was, drunk and addicted to food and still making millions of dollars as one of the top pros in the game. in no other sport can you abuse yourself the way john daly did and still be on top of your game.
Golf gets huge respect from me, simply because there has been no sport that I've tried to play that I've spent plenty of money on...and got nothing but a bunch of shitty scorecards, sunburn, a thousand lost balls and a handful of fines from the clubhouse for swearing, playing slow and not replacing divets.

Imagine coming down the last 4 holes of August with a 1 shot lead and one tiny mistake can cost you a million dollars and the tournament. How many people could handle that pressure and win?
I think you need to take a deep breath and relax here. Warren Buffett has no atheltic ability and is the weathiest man in the world. Does that disgust you as well?
