I'm a fan of both fighters and I also enjoyed the hell out of that fight. Personally I don't mind watching someone absolutely dominate the other fighter even when it's grappling based because I can appreciate the skill discrepancy. DDP just had nothing for him. To be locked up in a crucifix for that long across four rounds is nothing short of absolute dominance. That's part of mixed martial arts, the fight can take place anywhere and you need to prepare appropriately imo. Dudes are just going to have to figure him out or figure out a way to counter that style. Sorry you didn't enjoy it.
Edit: I also think a lot of fans are now getting more easily butthurt about this kind of stuff now that betting is involved. Personally I think it is hurting the sport more than helping it.
As a non-gambler I fail to take into consideration what influence gambling plays in some people's overly emotional response. Particularly the OMG the entirety of the UFC is going to turn into freestyle wrestling contests type of response. It will not, fighters will adapt and adapt quickly. DDP's annihilation will laser focus everyone's attention (the smart ones anyways) on grappling fundamentals.
