why doesn't cyril gane get the same hate for title shots as other fighters?

HW so thin it doesn't appear as egregious as in other divisions.

HW div is a joke and everybody knows it. Sad time for MMA.

Just lucky timeings. He did admit he is ducking wrestlers so Blyades and Almeida. Bit empty division all his 3 shots make sense. He also was close to beating Francis.

Gane was already the interim champion and was not injured. There was no reasonable reason to skip over him.(Like whittaker in GSP v Bisping) When jones and stipe did the same thing, Im sure you cried foul.

Jones haters are so transparent. Not a single firm principle to stand on.
Who said it had to be reasonable? The Aspinall situation was anything but reasonable. Hate’s a strong word. I do enjoy razzing Jones and his Stans. The excuses and the thin skin are amusing. Principles are the very thing that most critics of JBJ take issue with, actually.

The more I've thought about this, the more you come to realize that it was completely never an option and heres why:

Ngannou had been fighting with the UFC for a while to work out a contract, from even before the gane fight. the only reason Ngannou showed up to the gane fight was because the UFC forced him and was going to strip his title if he didnt.

The UFC was never going to let someone fight Jon Jones on the last fight of their contract. If Ngannou were to win, He could juse to resign somewhere else having just beaten Jon Jones. The Pre-requiste for Jones vs Ngannou was very likely that Ngannou Must Re-sign with the UFC to get that fight. And I believe that's what both Francis and Jones were frustrated with. but we all know why because they weren't going to let someone KO Jones in his HW debut then have the option to walk away. Especially if they are a champion.

You ever stop and wonder that maybe Gane has never fought Blaydes because Blaydes lost to nearly everybody you just listed?

How many of them has Gane beaten? shit, how many of them has Gane fought?

Its funny you're shitting on Blaydes saying "Blaydes of all people" etc etc like hes a bum, while simultaneously talking up Gane as having "the best resume at HW"

Ganes notable wins - Volkov, Rozenstruik, JDS, Tai, Lewis, Spivac

Blaydes notable wins - Volkov, Jailton, Rozenstruik, Reem, JDS, Kuniev, Hunt, Oleinik

Gane is being given "short paths" to title shots by:

- Going 10-0 to fight Ngannou

Nobody is criticizing the first title shot.

- Beating 5 fight win streak Tai to fight Jones

See this is you basically using used car salesman/shady promoter speak trying to find any angle you can to make getting a title shot a little over a year from your last one, solely off the back of winning one fight against Tai Tuivasa, and not even looking good doing it, seem anything less than absurd.

- Beating 3 fight win streak Spivac and 4 fight win streak Volkov to fight Tom

You mean he beat a fringe top 10 guy then got a contentious decision that many people thought he didnt deserve to keep the train rolling?

I'd love to know how Tom by contrast was totally worthy of a title shot for beating Tybura

Ahh yes, yet more disingenuous BS. Lemme guess... Tom was on a one fight win streak because he "lost" to Blaydes am I right?

Mate you quite literally might be the only one in this thread who somehow doesn't realize that Gane, criticize all you want, has still been in the best position for the title shots and that's why he "keeps getting them".

It's not his fault the division sucks.

He keeps getting them because they know that as long as he only loses in title fights they can still damage control a little and keep him high in the rankings because he "only loses to the best".

You say the division sucks, which it kind of does, but what does it say about Gane when hes being protected and fast tracked in it?

We're talking about two different things. Nobody's denying 1 title fight a year is not enough. I'm talking about bogus title fight selection. We know now that Jones could have fought Ngannou and didn't. He chose a vacated title fight with Frank's sloppy seconds who can't wrestle for shit. He then chose to fight long retired Miocic. He refused Pavlovich and he refused Aspinall. It is known.

I called it a sham for a reason. I don't give a shit about Jones' alleged pec tear which he never posted proof. The injury is irrelevant. It's about who he chose to fight and not fight. You might not like how often Ngannou, Miocic, and Cormier fought but none of them ducked anybody.
