Why didn't the fighters get a cut?

I made nothing up. I brought up exactly what was said.

If you are not acknowledging what you posted (when it is right there in black and white) you're going full retard.

And continue to ignore the points that destroy your arguments.

Just let's us know who went full retard . . .

I think it's time for you to create a new account after embarassing yourself here. You lost all credit.
Which is a shame after almost 10 years and 10000 posts.

Mma, in-of-itself, is a sport. The way the ufc runs mma, is not a sport. In other words, fights are not set up based on merit. It's based on the amount of money two individuals who compete, can create for the company. Legitimate sports are not run that way.

You're still avoiding the points that destroy your argument. Keep at it!

Combat sports have to work this way to some extent. And always have.

You’re not making any points supporting your thread. Athletes never participate in the financial gain or loss from sales.

What is the question that you want answered?
He just wants to bitch.

I answered his question and he went on a way different tangent for no reason other than to bitch.

They were not smart enough to get a cut. This is how life works. You only get what (1) you are given by a superior, (2) you can negotiate or (3) you can take by force.

These are the 3 major ways of getting something that you don't have, and/or can't create.

Whatever you have, in this life, is exactly what you deserve. LOL

folks who state otherwise obviously do not understand the game theory

yeah, i agree. at least when the fertittas owned the company, it seemed that they tried their best to be fair to the fighters, as far as giving deserving fighters title shots, etc.

UFC is a sport

If you're maintaining that if a promotion is private then it can't be a sport then the ONLY true sport of a MMA promotion was the IFL since it was publicly traded.

All other MMA promotions were privately owned.
Don't we call the NBA a sport most of the times so I guess there is no difference in this case

There were just as many decisions back then that were similar to now. And now the overwhelming majority of title matchups still make sense.

Why didn’t the fighters get a cut?

Because they don’t own the company nor did they help facilitate the actual sale (attorneys).

Now let’s end this thread.
