Fixed brother. The 3 and 5 round system only benefits strikers. They catch breath and back to feet. This is certainty.yeah, definitely. but certainty is in the finish.

Dominate enough to not lose but also not be able to finish the fight. Nothing wrong with that though, this is the highest level of the game. While JDM is primarly a boxer, his grappling is good enough to stall Islam. If Islam could've finished he would've done it.Whats the fun in that
Just dominate for 25 minutes and make them feel absolutely pathethic
JDM has some of the best scrambling and submission escapes in MMA right now:

The anaconda choke wasn't executed the best by Emeev, but it was still a good attempt. Loosa had a tight arm triangle that he got out of. Not to mention all the top time and grappling offense Burns had against him, without a submission coming close. JDM showed great defense against Islam's front headlock, like when he transitioned to his d'arce, which is one of the best in MMA history, especially the shallow grip he uses.
you included me, but I'm agreeing with you.this makes zero sense. a finish equals death. if it was a real fight, then that's it. whether it's an arm bar or a ko, you're now unable to defend yourself and your life is forfeit. hanging tough in guard for 25 minutes means you resisted until the end and your ultimate fate is still undecided.
Not sure but if he can break Usman like this, it will be legendary.
