Two types of online MMA fans, people who love fighting with an autistic side to them and people who are former pro wrestling fans. Most of the MMA media fall into the pro wrestling side which is why they a) look like pro wrestling fans and b) love the drama more than the fighting.

I'm not watching some 30 minute video of him hitting pads, but I jumped ahead the to 13 minute mark and it looks like most of the video is being shot of him above the waist and and/or the view is obstructed by the ropes. I watched it for about 45 seconds and there's a few seconds here and there where you can see his gut, looks much different than that photo you posted. Look at the way his shoulders are sticking straight out. That's not normal.
