Who's left for Valentina Shevchenko?

Weili should be next.

I'd like to see Valentina try to capture the 135 lbs title at least before she retires.

When Pena was champ it would've made sense given she has a submission win over her, but circumstances didn't really allow it.

Not sure if Val would want to fight Amanda again or Kayla though. Both seem to be a lot bigger than her at this point plus Val has noticably slowed down.

Let her fight ROSE.
It's WMMA, rules don't apply, you can get a fight as champ with a soccer mom anytime.
And Rose is a ranked former champ.

Honestly, I want her to crush like 2-3 more OnlyCans and call it a day.

Only reason to encourage Weili is if you hate WMMA and want to really jam up 2 divisions. UFC probably will force her to vactate, she's a very inactive champ.

She beat Holly who was much bigger and better striking. In my opinion that was her best win.

Holly was indeed her best win, but in no way was Holly ever a better striker than Val at any point in their fighting careers lol. Val played with her on the feet and made it look easy.

Fiorot was the last « threat » in the UFC. There’s only Ditcheva who beat the crap out of the girl that beat Val that would also easily beat Valentina. She already lost twice to Nunes, so there’s no point in that fight either.

She actually only fought 2 great fighters. Nunes and Joanna. Nunes beat her twice and Joanna is much smaller, if you look at the level of competition she fought its actually a mediocre career. Still cant believe she fought Jessica Eye, Carmouche, Lauren Murphy, Cachoeiro, etc. 😂

I sorta feel sorry for Val.

She went to FLW at the easiest time the division was and ever will be: when it was starting out and it was just made up of old cans. Jessica Eye and Cach lol.

It sucks for her because she still would have probably had that big streak even if the division had been full of good fighters. Now when there are actual good fighters in the division coming up, Val's starting to get old. It'll be age that takes her down, not skills.

Nobody is on Val's level even with her getting old. She isn't on the decline just yet. Everyone thought Fiorot was gonna dethrone her but Val still is the champ.

Nah bro, she's definitely declined a ton.

Her footwork is gone within about 1.5 rounds these days and she has to resort to pretty much standing on the spot and trying to counter. She still pulls it off.

Look at her old fights and how she moved compared to now. Manon is a basic 1-2 striker. She was repeatedly able to 1-2 her way into a clinch, which is the only thing that kept her in that fight. Faster girls than Manon never used to be able to even touch Val, let alone get that close to her. And she used to able to keep that footwork up for all 5 rounds easily.

I think she's past her prime for sure. Prime Val would have made Manon look absolutely regional.

Maybe the question should be what's next?
Id take Ronda over that.

The biggest fights, with regards to legacy, are Weili and/or Amanda III.

Val is past her prime no doubt, but the competition in her division isn't competition for her even while being past her prime.

Zhang is the obvious choice semi-super fight.

I don't think Shev can beat Kayla. She gets smothered to a boring decision at 135

I'm really confused about why more people aren't mentioning Natalia silva. Is she not the clear number 1 contender on a 13 fight win streak fresh off a dominant win over a former champ?

I'm sure there are contenders in her division but I have no clue who they are. So at the top of my head Zhang is the most obvious answer
