Valentina's resume

Shevchenko is smaller and arguably beat Nunes head to head.

Shevchenko is clearly #1.
No. Complaints about decisions that were close are pretty much irrelevant. Valentina gave Amanda some trouble because she was a tough stylistic matchup, but make no mistake about it, Amanda's resume is greater.

Dominant KOs of Cyborg, Ronda, Holly, and Tate along with all of her other wins pretty much cement it for Amanda.

I believe goat A is Nunes; goat B is Val. Everyone else after those 2.

Nunes could BARELY squeak by Val, and she was two weight classes bigger. Remember the time where Nunes canceled their fight last minute due to a tummy ache.. he's was gotten to.

VAL is goat for sure.

Heck Nunes hasn't won a fight in two years, whereas VAL, who is the same age, just DOMINATED the 2nd best female fighter in the UFC.

How can you put Carmouche, Kaufman, Fiorot, Grasso, Taila, etc in a list and say these soccer moms with 0 training are great opponents 😂 Weili and Jooana would have been great wins but they were so small next to Valentina. She fought basically 1 great fighter, lost both fights and ran away to fight smaller soccer moms in the lower division lol.

-Carmouche and Kaufman were both former title challengers in the upper weightclass. They both fought Ronda Rousey for the title!!

-Grasso had been the only one able to finish Valentina herself ever, not even Amanda could.

-Fiorot and Santos are definitely not soccer moms, they gave Valentina a competitive fight.

-Joanna is the same height and reach as Valentina, they were always in the same weightclass, that's why they fought so many times in Muay Thai back in the day. Remember Joanna was always killing herself yo make 115lbs.

-Weili is smaller in fact, but in the male division you see guys like Topuria who is smaller than Oliveira big time. And you saw what he did.

-Hiw can you say Amanda is the only good fighter she has fought, if she has fought literally all the best girl from ALL the dividion? Incluiding the one that finished Amanda herself...
Yup, I’ll add that Sarah Kaufman has an excellent resume herself. Kaufman started training MMA when she was like 17, and she’s a BJJ black belt as well. She had a BJJ brown belt back in her Strikeforce days IIRC.
These aren’t soccer moms who take up a boxercise class on the weekends and decide to fight pro MMA.

Hate on Val all you want, but she has fought the best of the best. She has never ducked anyone. She has literally fought everyone.

Amanda is #1, Valentina #2.

It's a close one, but I just about agree with this.

Wish we'd got Amanda vs Kayla, but Amanda had several super fights.

I think it's close enough that if Valentina can dominate a little while longer and pick up some more huge wins before retiring on top, she could displace Amanda

Ehhhhh.

If anyone has read my stellar posts here, you'll know when it comes to wmma, I want them to look good cuz ill get my fight entertainment from the rest of the card. I wish hot girls can win, but...hardly happens.

Valentina? She's not bad looking...but, this is still fighting. Ive noticed that she has developed a knack for smothering fighters. Bullet (that's her name right?) has become boring. Wasnt she known for striking? Then some asshole says wrestle. I no longer care for her fights.

Look boys n girls, BMF belt exists. It exists for the funnest ones in the business. Frankly, that goofy belt has more entertaining value than the real belts.

Hang on...real belts, theyre all UFC trademarks, meaning they're all legit. Middleweight and Welterweight belts in the last wins have been awful to watch. That bullshit is not sustainable, despite the rules.

It cant be helped, i dont think, and we cant help if hot women win fights.

But you gotta admit, UFC would be majorly more successful if shit wasnt boring and hot women were winning.

Valentina is "WMMA goat" for me. Her sharpness and explosivness was from diff world compared to other WMMA fighters. Funny how not many Russians / Muslim fanboys follow / root for her as they do for Khabib/Makhachev. She actually deserves more attention then they do.
Amanda beat her 2x easily, Amanda is A goat and Val is B goat

Val lost twice to Nunes and shes the WMMA GOAT? I mean, ok, each to his own, but some facts cant be disregarded.

- Nunes moved up and beat Cyborg decisively, who hadnt lost in years.

- Nunes held BOTH titles and defended both a few times

No one did that. And I dont believe that will happen again.
Val has 100% win rate against pena to nunes pitiful 50%

that ought to be enough to close the book on this one.

not a single lie told...

Valentina gave Amanda some trouble because she was a tough stylistic matchup.
#1 GOAT Shevchenko isn't only a tough stylistic matchup for #2 GOAT Nunes, she's also a tough p4p stylistic matchup for anyone Nunes has ever beat.

Nobody would've ever come close to #1 GOAT Shevchenko if she was #2 GOAT Nunes' size.

I think because she was born in Peru and represented Peru for most of her career. I actually completely forgot about that until my Peruvian friend reminded me during her fight.

Wait what? Never heard about that . Only remember that i seen some of her kickboxing bouts from kyrgyztan. She was +- 12-14 at the time and was fighting 30+ years old grown out womans in "pro bouts" - no headgear or shin protection, etc.

BTW just checked place of her birth and its Bishkek,Kyrgyztan...but yea, she actually have Peruvian citizenship aswell as Kyrgyz. I thought that she got Russian and Kyrgyz citizenship.

I thought she beat Nunes and she is obviously smaller. So yeah, she is pretty much the GOAT. She is unbeatable at 125, and should have wins over the GOAT 135er and 115er (the top 2 basically when you include Joanna Jędrzejczyk too).

Also a solid resume against Pena, Manon, Holm, Carmouche.

I think Nunes and Cyborg are in the conversation also, but really, if you acknowledge that she probably should have got the nod over Amanda at 135, I think her resume is pretty much the best.

Grasso was really the only person that beat her definitively, and she was winning most of that fight. Valentina was robbed in the rematch with a draw if I can remember, and she obviously beat her ass the third fight.

That basically means she beat everyone she ever fought.

I mean most people thought she beat Nunes, so wouldn't that kind of kill the crux of your argument? And Nunes would DEFINITELY not beat her at 125.

Nunes never even rematched Cyborg, so who cares if she held a second title? She didn't fight anyone at 145. The best 145ers have been outside of the UFC for most of Nunes reign.

Cyborg is a colossal win, but the whole idea that Nunes >>>> Cyborg off of one fight in itself is silly and short sighted. Basically just an easy narrative to sell. Cyborg's sample size alone warranted a rematch, as she literally has only lost to Nunes in the past 20 years (who herself is a GOAT candidate). Imagine if Nunes never got a rematch against Pena....

Valentina literally has the capability of beating Nunes in her own weight class, and can beat everyone in hers. Wouldn't that make her the goat? Just because Nunes got a favorable decision at 135 doesn't mean she is P4P better, how does that make sense? That is basically MMA Math.

I thought Nunes beat Shev both times. One was closer than the other, but two wins.

As to Cyborg, I believe she could take the rematch, a 50/50 fight in my book. That didnt happen tho, so we gotta stick to the facts.

She DID beat Val twice and she moved up and KOed Cyborg in way we didnt expect. She took the opportunity, raised her game and did it.

at 145 she then beat spencer and megan anderson. not the greatest names indeed, but not her fault

add all this up, I do believe shes the most impressive female in the history of the sport, yeah.
