the far right. they actually got something against me and are generally nastier and more ignorant. The far left are mostly annoying hippie types. Then again I'm not a white male so maybe that also plays into it.

Like I said, all Politicians are scum. You can criticize the right all you please I don't affiliate with any of it right or left.

For me, I've always despised the far right more because I'm not religious in the slightest. The concept of people making important decisions that effect their own or other's lives which are based on complete and utter nonsense always drove me nuts. However, the older I get, the more I can't stand the left. I don't know if it's the fact that I'm changing or the left keeps going more bonkers by the day. I suspect it's a little of both.

When I'm around friends or family members in 2017 that are frothing at the mouth liberal or conservative, I have to say that the extreme liberals irritate me more these days. The thing is that most of my ultra conservative friends or family members are just idiots. They don't mean any harm, they're just not smart. The hard core liberals I know are not only completely detached from reality, but they're usually complete tools if you share a different opinion. For as much as the scream about tolerance, they're ironically intolerant as all hell. I think a lot of it stems from the fact that our media and educational system is pretty liberal these days, so a lot of these people feel justified to ram their opinions down your throat because they simply don't understand that half the people in this country don't agree with them.

A bit of both.

Establishment conservatives and their obsession with Iran, welfare for the poor, insistence that every person who has made it has done so on their own merits . Conservative mantra that government can't do anything good , that private enterprise is the solution to everything.

Liberals and their idiotic and masochistic support for Islam. Vocal college liberals who think so-called 'hate-speech' isn't free speech.
 
i am annoyed by anybody who agrees entirely with any political party's platform. its just not possible.

I think education level itself is a pretty meaningless statistic though. It doesn't specify the university or the degree. It may sound prejudiced but a law, engineering or medical degree is worth a lot more than a PhD in gender studies.

I agree that education level is a pretty meaningless comparison in regards to one's intelligence or overall knowledge. There are grips of degree programs that require very little study time or intelligence to complete. I just don't see my buddy's wife who works at the Olive Garden and has a 4 year digital photography degree as being anymore intelligent or politically enlightened than her husband who is a paramedic with one of those 2 year dummy degrees. I mean really, was my ex who had a 4 year nursing degree anymore enlightened than her sister who only had a 2 year nursing degree? Were talking like a difference of like 4 or 5 classes, as a two year nursing program has over a year of prerequisites and is actually harder to get into a lot of times.

This thread is a perfect example of this. You got guys on here that somehow believe that they are more enlightened than the next guy because they went to college, yet they have no clue as to how statistics are developed or even a basic understanding of economic principles that one would learn in a 100 level micro or macro economics course. If your degree is completely irreverent to most political discussions, I got news for you, you don't know anything more that the guy cooking your french fries.

Because the educational system is controlled by the left. look back 200 years ago it was controlled by churches, and that suddenly becomes not true anymore

Also, read post #87. The dumbest people in this country are more likely to be left leaning as well.
