The obnoxious liberals are, well, obnoxious, but not typically threatening. More ignorant; blindly supporting Democrats at all costs (even ones that supported horrific foreign policy and are against things like single payer healthcare) and saying things like "it's discrimination to decide who you date based on gender / their genitals". I no shit saw a trans person say that in a video. I wouldn't even define a lot of these people as far left, in fact I think mainstream liberals are basically what used to be known as moderate Republicans who are very socially liberal who and often suffer from recreational outrage.

I don't see the far right as dangerous at all. They're dumb as shit, but they lack the ability to organize and wreak havoc the way the left does in this country. How often do you see right wing protesters shut down highways, start fires, or physically attack people they disagree with? Honestly, how often do you really see right wing protesters at all? Usually when people on the far right lose their shit, they act out alone. They don't feed off of each other the way that SJWs do. The far right is a lot of talk and no action (were going to take this country back for the white man by having this big BBQ where we bitch about liberals for various well defined reasons). The far left is a lot of action with no actual substance behind it (I'm throwing bags of piss at cops, but I'm not really sure why. This is fun and exciting)

I think what a lot of people also fail to understand is that while self identified Democrats make up the majority of the countries most educated citizens, they also make up the majority of the countries least educated citizens. Basically, Republicans are more clustered toward to middle of the education spectrum (HS graduates, associate degrees, technical programs, apprenticeships, 4 year degrees) while democrats are more likely to be at the extremes of the education spectrum (HS dropouts, doctorates, PHDs). What this creates is a mean educational level that is very similar between both groups despite being distributed differently.

As far as income goes, Republicans earn more on average. It's pretty cut and dry even when using mean income which takes outliers (Pro athletes, entertainers, bilionairs) into consideration. Utilizing the medium or the mode provides a far more accurate interpretation of income than the mean though, which is why they are the preferred forms of central tendency when measuring income distribution in any honest study.

I guess I didn't understand because I take graduating high school as a given. Dumbshits who don't graduate high school don't count in my book. Should be a requirement for voting, whether liberal or conservative.

Where people that earn less than 50k voted overwhelmingly for hillary, while 50-100k was a trump victory and over 100k was split.

While looking at states is a reasonable position I believe it's flawed to due the inequality among groups. The reason many red states do very poorly is not (entirely) because of the republicans living there. A good example is Mississippi, poverty in that state is concentrated among blacks, that represent around 30% of the population there and vote over 90% democrat. However, as whites there vote 90% republican it's a solid red state.

In relation to education it all boils down to race. If you take whites only, democrats are more educated. If you take all americans you have both educated whites and poorly educated blacks and latinos voting democrat, while republicans are more in the middle.

I think education level itself is a pretty meaningless statistic though. It doesn't specify the university or the degree. It may sound prejudiced but a law, engineering or medical degree is worth a lot more than a PhD in gender studies.
