Gsp fought the weakest line up of pedestrian title contenders.
Matt serra was a journyman lw when gsp immortalized him by getting kod in his very first title defense.
Hardy, alves and kos are the very definition of average.
Alves went 6-11 to end his career after the title fight.
Kos went 0-6 4 by ko.
Matt hughes was almost 40 when georges finally beat him.
Bj legit won the first fight and put him in the hospital.
Bj was a bonafide lw when they fought again.
Carlos condot went 2-8 to finish his career after the title fight.
Wont shit on shields of fitch both were great wins.
Nick diaz...idk what to think of that win.
Hendricks beat the piss out of him.
Youre missing a few there budSince when do Vitor and Sonnen count as 6 people, and if you didn't notice they are typically 185ers.
Youre missing a few there bud
Also Vera, Bader, DC went on to become HW champs.
Shad, your boy shogun, Lyoto, Rampage were LHw champs
Tex is the current UFC LHW champ
huh?so you're saying vitor and sonnen as well as the 8 other fighters you listed were all juiced and jones beat them all while also being juiced? LOL.
Who is that actress in your AV broThe answer will always be the same regardless of which shertard you ask:
My favorite fighter fought in the toughest era & weight class
My most hated fighter fought in the weakest era & weight class
One thing I will say is this, the level of competition for all 3 is greatly exaggerated by their fans.
I think Jones fought in the best division(although it was starting to decline IMHO) but he also fought with the biggest weight advantage, 205lbs being so rich tended to mean a lot of smaller guys who would fight at MW today started out in it then, Rashad and Machida most obviously Jones pretty massively outsized.

Incoming asshole discrediting all these rankings because they don't fit his agenda.
2. GSP. A lot of variety like strikers Alves and Diaz, plus Nick's BJJ. Condit similar. Shields with the BJJ/wrestling combo. Hughes ATG wrestler twice. Penn 2-div champ HOF dominantly 2nd time. And Kos the best wrestler of that era. Outwrestled him, then outstruck him. Then the Serra rematch mismatch and the no hope Hardy fight.
3. Anderson. MW was weak at the time, lacked both depth and contenders. Like Leites, MW Maia clowning shit fight and no hope Cote. Lutter didn't have much hope, either. Franklin and Okami were about the same level. Then his best wins Hendo and Vitor. And yes, roided out Sonnen, tough style.
Hence why Jones isn't impressive, it was like watching one of those blue Avatar aliens vs a regular human, I expect the midget human to get whooped given the size disparity. Really don't get how most people overlook this and are amazed by a guy with a massive size advantage beating guys who should have fought at MW.
You invested good efforts in that one, uh nerdy kid?
Seriously though, this attempt at nitpicking a few months out of 7 long years to pretend GSP was regarded higher than Silva during their champiosnhip run is beyond pathetic.
If GSP got the #1 for a few months after Silva vs Sonnen I, Silva quickly regained his status styling on Belfort and Okami as GSP never did in a tittle defense. Deal with it
Just go for PEDs and losses late in his career, or that GSP had georgeus blue eyes. Go fo that kind of arguments. This one is a lost battle for you

Look at the bias post ffs its obscene.
Coté is the only tittle defense you could say was sub-par, and it was an injury replacement.
Leites is not a less worthy contende than Hardy.
Lutter got the shot just like Serra did. Yes, Serra. GSP had to fight him twice.
For the rest, pretending that Okami, Marquardt, Franklin or Maia were weak but Alves or Koscheck were legitimate is nº1 BS. They were absolutely comparable caliber of opponents in their prime.
Maia sure as hell wasn't in his prime against Silva and was 1 fight removed from being KTFO. Okami, Marquardt and Maia are WW. Alves claimed multiple times that he was 200 pounds in the cage in his prime and was top 10 p4. Koscheck was a massive WW (190+) as well with better wrestling than anyone Silva ever fought.
Just because that WW's from GSP's era didn't have a long career doesn't mean they weren't good, it means they were fighting in a shark tank. Unlike Silva where you had geriatric like Hendo top 10 well into his 40s. Imagine a 40 years old top 10 in GSP's era.
Effort? mma GOAT google search and i didn't even get past the first page. Took about 5 mins tops to shit on your little list.
