Who am I?

I died at 42. I went from Africa to the UK to the USA. I learned to fight in the army. I was a 2x Ring fighter of the year. Racism impeded my career. I once fought a HoF fighter and we went to the cards. I lost. My opponent said “he beat m bade- my mom and dad could have score the fight and I wouldn’t have won a round”.

I was knocked out in MSG by a man who lost to Ali and Frazier.
Dick Tiger?

nice!

is this worth continuing ? fun for me but was sick for a week and finally got to drink, so American pie 2 on after showbox is the best movie ever...

Absolutley continue. This is good stuff.

I didn't grown up sheltered to put it mildly, but I guess you could cite me as an example that you can overcome adversity with willpower. My father tried to commit suicide when I was 5, I ran away from home when I was 9, and became a pro boxer at the age of 16. I'm a true road warrior, as I won the super featherweight title against a Puerto Rican in Puerto Rico, the lightweight title against an Scotsman in England, and I competed for the light welterweight title against an American in the US... Overall I competed as a pro in 4 different decades. Floyd Mayweather Jr. referred to me as his dream opponent in a fantasy match.

Nice!!! Mayweather dream match up threw me

I did this in a thread like this before before and nobody got it.

Tough guy, fought his heart out but often times not a smart as he could. His stance was quite distinct due to his extreme duck footedness. Fouaght a brutal war with a fringe contender and lost in a fight that was stopped way too soon against one of the greats of the post 90s. Was known for punching holes in bags in the gym.

I don't get mentionned very often in this forum's discussions, even if I'm a true ATG. 17 years of pro boxing didn't prevent me from living a long life. After I lost my first world title against another underrated great I'm one of the few that went down in weight, and enjoyed even greater success against a bunch of excellent foes. I fought in many an opponent's backyard, and one of my victories against a tough SOB and fellow Hall of famer abroad caused a riot. There was less controversy after I KOed him in the rematch.

Moore had more than 17 years of boxing... I think him and Roberto Duran are the only two boxers that competed in 5 decades... Roy Jones Jr will probably get there, as he had his debut in 1989.
