Rumored Whittaker vs De Ridder in the works

Bobby's great, but at this point RDR probably wins by UD.

I don't hate it but would not have picked this personally.

I'm curious how Rob's teeth/gum injury affects his career moving forward. Is he going to take a punch the same, or is he going to have bigger reactions? The images of it looked horrifying.

I like this fight. It looks weird, but nonetheless, it's an interesting fight. If RDR wins, I think he deserves a title shot.

no source so fuck off

plus Rob wants Strickland or a move up to 205 next.

I'm assuming that Strickland ducked RDR's challenge, and RDR asked the UFC for the highest ranked opponent that would agree to fight him.

RDR is either going to pop off and go on a crazy championship run like Alex Pereira did, or he's gonna get reality checked and be beaten by top 5 guys. He turns 35 this year so it's now or never. I think he's smart to take the biggest fights he can possibly take before he starts to physically decline.
Izzy has been calling for the Strickland rematch for a while. It's a good fight to make since both those guys are in purgatory in regards to title contention and the fight will have interest and be able to sell. Strickland was probably never happening now.

But this is great. I'll be able to get Reindeer at a plus number again probably.

Good matchup, Imavov should be next for the winner of DDP & Khamzat.

Unless it's a close fight and Khamzat wins, then we probably get a rematch.

Winner of this should fight Borralho to be next in line.

I think this speaks more to the capabilities of RDR.

They were slow walking him when the reality is, he is as legit as they come.

Him fighting Nickal was dumb.

I actually liked that fight for both. Would Nickal have won it'd give him a legit win and momentum for co-main/main events.

For RDR it gives him a nice rub of hype from Nickal, and momentum towards the top 5/10. In a loss Nickal can go back to beating some cans to build his carreer a little slower. This is actually not bad for Nickal. He got reality checked and knows he needs to level up if he wants to make a run.

If fighters like Holloway, Poirier, Oliveira, Makhachev prove anything its that an early loss isn't too bad, it gives you chance to rebuild a streak and build a little slower.

RDR is flavour of the month because he beat up a cringey bastard, his style isnt usually fan friendly though, lap up the love while its being shown.
Ha it's the sad part de ridder is a cool guy but his shine shouldn't come from his last win I don't think he should get a fight that high ranked should have to fight 1 more before an eliminator

if no date yet then it’ll probably be further than october.

Turns 35
34 fights
Lost his last fight
1 whole year of ring rust

Yep, Bobby’s prime is officially completely gone.
It’s struggle maintenance fro
Here on out.

Might as well shoot the kid up there and see if he can do something, guy turns 35 this year which isn't ancient by any means but it's certainly not young and spry and full of time either. One extra fight against a lower guy before a top guy might add shitloads of time with how poorly they matchmake things, injuries, timing etc

Ridder looks crafty but not powerful. Should be easy win for Robert by t(ko).

I think Rob uses his movement and takedown defense to win a decision.
