Its an interesting fight but its also a dumb fight.

RDR is probably the best submission grappler Fluffy will have faced but fluffy is now slouch either.

The big difference seems to be cardio. If RDR doesn't get a win within 3 Fluffy might drown him.

That being said its dumb because these are the only 2 interesting matchups for Borz so with this fight 1 of them is out of the picture for fighting him.

If Fluffy wins he gets the next shot. Yes I know Sean is suspended for 6 mo n ths but the fight probably wouldn't happen until 6 months from now anyway

Even both can be out of the picture if Khamzat ends up fighting the Caio/Nassourdine winner and the winner of Fluffy/RDR ends up taking another fight and loses because the wait will be a long one if the winner gets passed up.

I kind of want to see RDR win because he's pushing 35 and if he ever has a chance against Khamzat, it's got to be sooner than later. And he's a really cool, humble guy.

But Fluffy is very interesting, too. If he gets outgrappled by RDR, I'd say his chance against Khamzat is super slim to none, though.

Fluffy didn't just melt his last opponent, he's melted almost all his recent opponents. Allen the only exception and that was 3 rounds and Fluffy had jacked up ribs going into the fight.

Watch any of Fluffy’s recent fights outside the Allen fight. Then watch RDR after 2 rounds vs Bobby. Then ask yourself what Fluffy vs RDR looks like at any point after rd 2. Fluffy has Merab level pace and cardio as a (albeit somewhat undersized) middleweight. It's absurd.

If someone is gonna bet RDR, wait for props and just bet his rd 1-2 props. He's live for probably 10 minutes. If the fight sees round 3 you'll see a 100% fresh Fluffy vs a winded and fading RDR and it will get really ugly from there.

Imanov should get it hes earned it. But we have a champ that fights once a year when he fights ya like to make it count and while Imanov earned it as a fan I rather RDR or Fluffy. If either win an do so in dominant fashion I agree they jump Imanov and Imanov likely faces DDP tho strictly speaking it should be other way

As badass a wrestler/grappler Fluffy is, he is not anywhere near Chimaev’s level, and off his back not the threat RDR poses. Fluffy has the cardio as a weapon but so did DDP

At least RDR can try things against Khamzat from less favorable positions due to his extensive BJJ/Judo background, and his ability to pull it off in fights. Then those knees up the middle are always an X-factor as he will willingly throw them hard
