I thought long and hard about this. What fight could the UFC make in which an American can win a meaningful fight? And I think the answer is none. Maybe having Merab turn American would be the closest to having an American guarantee a meaningful W.

No Americans winning would be a problem/disaster @ the White House event, imo

Then the title fight whatever. That way if an American loses the title fight, we can still say we won most of the fights.
