I think there are some overly optimistic opinions about how long this contest is going to last.

I agree. The contest will be over by the end of the year.

We need to make sure BigJohn does not learn how to squat.
 
I think this time next year is the earliest that is feasible. The pounds will start coming much slower after 1400.

Last heavy day before the meet, and my sickness was finally 100% gone so I felt great and gave her hell. Very happy with today. Deadlifts felt very strong and light. Next week I will work around 70-80%, and then rest the last week with some light work around 70% on one or two days. Meet is Saturday, March 29.

First day in the new gym. The place is tits. There were guys lifting stones and flipping tires. The racks and benches are all EliteFTS and they have 4 oly platforms. I guess I'm going to have to start doing deadlifts in kilos which means a bunch of mental math, they had a sign to do them only on the platforms. Also has a 400m indoor track which I lapped 4 times as a warm up.

Doesn't have much on it, they do have a little video at the bottom. They mostly do sports training. There were a bunch of wrestlers in there today doing power cleans and RDL and the kettleball swings until they about puked. The guy said most of their regular customers are in the olympic lifting club, and there are about half a dozen powerlifters who work out there. He told me if I want any equipment, and they don't have it, drop a note in his office mailbox and he'll get it. Honestly I walked around for 10 minutes and couldn't find anything they didn't have.
