indeed, I mostly associate aura with the earlier UFC. everything is too technical and known about fighters now to really confer unto them that certain quintessence, that je ne sais quoi. there were very many unknowns in that time. And that's what made it fun.

Making an All Time list that includes only fighters from when you seem to have started on Sherdog in 2019 is a bit off.

Aura definition that seems to apply best the the Aura of a combat sports fighter:
"a distinctive atmosphere surrounding a given source."

Prime McGregor, Prime Anderson, Khabib, Prime Fedor, GSP all had an Aura of Invincibility.

Hector Lombard would fall into the category of Khamzat of having an Aura of destruction until he got to the UFC and fought better competion. Khamzat's Aura was fractured in the Burns fight, cracked open when he missed weight for the Diaz fight and shattered by Usman coming off the couch on a few days notice.

Wanderlei Silva had a true Aura of Destruction.
Dan Henderson had an Aura of being a Bad Ass anyone anytime kind of attitude.

I'd say she mostly earned her aura (she was steamrolling everyone until she ran into Holly) although you're certainly right about guys like Rogan blowing it out of proportion. That was ridiculous.
