Which Diaz bro was the better fighter?

Nick was bigger, stronger and a better boxer. Wasn't he a champ in Strike Force?

Nate and its not even a bit close. Nick built his hype outside the UFC avoiding stylistically tough match ups while Nate stayed in the UFC and fought top ranked wrestlers. Nate has a MUCH better record against top ranked fighters. Nick lost to almost every top fighter he ever fought that was not a LW.

Nate has better hands, is faster (both slow), way better footwork (both suck), better ground game (unlike Nick, he actually has beaten wrestlers), better cardio and way more heart. Nick has more power and better TDD

Yes he was the champ. He won the belt beating Marius fucking Žaromskis. His opponents at SF had a combined SF record of 8-18-1

I know it's Nick cause Joo Roog gets so erotic when he talks about him

Nick

But if you go solely off name recognition of opponents as viewed by casuals, then yeah, Nate for sure

Yeah unlike Nick who was 1-9 against top 10 fighters that were not LWs

Nicks best wins were against old man washed up Shamrock, old man washed up LW Penn, 21 year old green Robbie, undersized LW Gomi and Paul fucking Daley. Level of competition was not close. The only time Nick looked like he was a top WW was when he left the UFC and avoided every tough stylistic match up he could

People say Nick because he is older, was there first and more old school. Reality is Nate fought and beat way better competition and its not even a bit close

Nate himself rates his brother, Nick, as "the best," so /thread.

“Though Takanori Gomi was a step removed from his days as the most dominant lightweight on the planet, he still went into his PRIDE 33 match with Nick Diaz as a healthy favorite.”

Your examples for Nick are a fucking massively undersized LW Gomi and fat washed up LW Penn? What happened when he fought top fighters his size? The only one he beat is Paul fucking Daley

What a stupid fucking reason. Nate idolizes his brother. Nate would say Nick is better no matter what. Nate fought and beat way better competition. Its not close. Nick lost to every top fighter he ever faced that was not a LW

nick unless you´re new to this

Nick was much, much, much harder to beat though. He never got smacked around by anyone like Nate did vs Masvidal or McGregor, or thrown around like vs McDonald, RDA, & Benson. Even in his loss to GSP he was more subdued than beaten up.

Conversely, Nate showed more heart (including in the fights above). Nick would get frustrated & wasnt great at cutting the ring off, whereas Nate would adapt & dig deep, win or lose

Nate's resume shits all over Nicks. Nick never beat anyone relevant in 15 years

Nick was so much better than anything I have seen from Nate so far.

Relax, you pre-pubescent fuck.

Nick faced better competition, this is undisputable.

Nick Diaz face GSP, Anderson Silva, and Frank Shamrock and ... despite the 1-2 ... this eclipse everything Nate has ever done.

Nate wouldn't even be qualified to fight these guys ... and "Conor" would have been sodomized by them, were they so inclined ...

Nick is a better fighter but he also hasn't fought for a while.

Nate did not beat a "prime" Conor. Conor has a .500 record on fights above FW division. Conor has a losing record versus Top 5 fighters In LW. Nate also didn't beat a prime Pettis. Nate was more fun to watch early in his career when he had a lot more submissions. Once higher ranked fighters started going after him with the leg kicks Nate didn't do as well.

Nick is more consistent in his career to me. I especially loved the fights versus Robbie Lawler and Paul Daley. Nick was fun to watch when opponents were willing to bang. The Condit and GSP fights were boring because all either fighter cared about was point fighting. Nick went for finishes and had great stamina.

Nick has better wins imo, even if Nate beat Conor, at the same time Conor isnt exactly an all time great despite the 2 belt thing, Nick beat Lawler, BJ Penn, Shamrock, Gomi.
Fluke win over lawler, beat up old man bj and shamrock and was on steroids vs gomi..... kidding

I'd say the same but that Nick probably had more potential to be one of the greats.

Good boxing, Iron Chin, Unbreakable will, Submission threat, never ending endurance, and some decent power in his hands.
