You just listed a bunch of guys he could have fought. JDS, Overeem, Werdum were all options. He dropped to LHW without facing any of the top guys.

You are underestimating Brock. It is tighter than you are making it out to be. Prime Arlovski struggled with retro fighters like Sylvia that would have not been able to handle the caliber of fighters that Brock did for sure.

DC beat all those guys when they were at their peak or at least very close to it. Not only did he beat them, he beat them all convincingly, usually by finish.

I'm not so sure Lesnar would win over a prime Big Nog. Big Nog was able to beat a prime Bob Sapp that was 350lbs and juiced out of his mind.

What, you mean like Frank Mir? Lol no I'm not. Arlovski could have beaten anyone Brock beat, and he coukd have lost to them too, but against Brock? No.

Arlovski was way better than Brock.

The head to head match up doesn't hold up well when the rest of the resume isn't up to par. Bad matchups exist, plain and simple.

He is way better than Brock but you don't think he could of achieved the same success as Brock in his position. That sounds contradictory, no?

Lol just stop. He got a title shot with a 1-1 record. That's completely ludicrous and wouldn't have happened for anyone else in the sport. He got Dana White privilege via being a famous WWE guy.

Had he been forced to work his way up and earn a title shot the normal way he probably would have run into someone like Cain, JDS, or Werdum before ever getting to the title.

Brock beat Heath Herring, Randy Couture, Shane Carwin, and Frank Mir. He also lost to Frank Mir.

All of those guys are retro, and Sylvia was on the same or similar level as most of them. You're seriously overestimating Brocks resume.

Resume, Arlovski wins. I can get with that sentiment. Prime for Prime is a different story and it is certainly not one-sided.

People overlook JDS because of the Cain fights. What they fail to remember is that he still has the best run up to the HW title. The guy made his debut against Werdum ffs and never had a freebie win or softball match up in the UFC.

AA TD isn’t good enough to top Brock takedowns and his GNP. I also invision Alrovski having some trouble getting back on his feet with Brock on top of him he does not have wrestling credentials of Randy Couture or Cain for that matter to keep fight standing for very long. I’m a huge fan of AA but his glass chin wouldn’t be good against Brock.This fight would go like Mark Hunt or Heath Herring a massive beat down stylistic matchup nightmare for AA here.

Yes, it is. His takedown defense was like 90 something percent. Brock stands up to punishment even worse than AA, dude. He would crumble.
