What's Ngannou's strategy gonna be?

I see him being more patient in this fight but when he smells blood he will go all out.

My guess is he'll try and fight much like he did vs Stipe the 2nd time at the start and maybe have a backup of trying to go for a bit of grappling if it isnt going well after 5-10 mins.

Hope Gane fucks up like Alistair did.

We all know he is the guy who decapitates ppl with one punch, but how does he set that up vs the elusive and technical Gane??

Will he try and time a leg kick to throw a bomb over the top?
Will he come out from the opening bell like a bat out of hell and try to rush Cyril like he did Rosenstruik?
Will he try and be patient and try and time something in the later rounds?
Is there something you guys think he can capitalize on??
Punchy is gonna take this fight to the ground and use his jitz. Naw let's face it, he's never been accused of being a smart fighter. Punchy has a simple gameplan throw punches and once a good one lands, get hand raised.

I don’t think he’ll bum rush. We all saw how scary patient Ngannou was against Stipe

With them being former training partners, I think he’ll be able to time one of Gane’s bounce step ins. Can you imagine Ngannou’s power plus if Gane moves into it?

It’ll look like the Lewis fight more than anything, if I were to guess

I don't think he'll try to rush it. At least not in the first round.
Think he'll take his time and try to catch Gane as he comes in.

But who knows, I would like to see him just go all 90mph Ford Escort blitz to see how the fuck Gane would react.

If I was Ngannou I would rush as soon as the fight starts looking for the KO for about 30 seconds. Then play it slow and save cardio. Mix it up with Takedowns, because he won't beat Gane striker by strike. Try to keep top position and control, mixing with some GnP. Try to steal a few rounds like that, and when Gane is respecting the Takedown and worried about starting to win rounds rush for a KO attempt again. (I don't think Ngannou wins it btw, but this would be a good blueprint)

Can you be a little more specific? When he smells blood? How will he get to that point?

That is a very weird question.

Surely you have watched fights before and know that in most fights, especially fights like this where guys have such power, openings pop up as they spar around the cage. It could be more of what looks like a minor exchange but a shot lands just right and staggers and slightly dazes the opponent or an off balance stumble or a big error from the opponent where he over commits and leaves himself wide open.

It is far more common than not for these type of openings to present in a 5 round fight.

He'll lose if he sits back in this. Gane's too good from range. Answer isn't to blow the tank in the 1st while going recklessly at him, but pressure, cut him off. Selective aggression.

Pressure and then wait for a counter.

I think Ngannou is gonna go ham. It may work or may not.

Rozenstruik was the last person that talked crap and Frank just bull rushed him. He said this fight with Gane is personal so I could see him blowing his wad in the first round.

Gane has good foot work but I've noticed he keeps his hands down almost at all times. Frank is lightning quick and precise so if he can connect, I think it's over. It's weird to say that I'm nervous for a monster like Ngannou but I am. I hope he wins if just to see Dana's reaction.
