What knife did you carry today?

How large is it? The Cryo is about the largest I've carried.

The cryo is around a 3 inch blade and weighs 5 oz. The ZT 0300 series is a 3.75 inch blade and weighs 8 oz. It's a thick knife and too big for everyday carry IMO but YMMV.

I do not remember what I posted before, but my EDC lately and for a good while has been the SNAG Live Blade folder from Krudo Knives.

I like how it becomes a nasty punch enhancer in the closed position.

Yeah, that's gonna be too big for me. I have a Gerber Gator II about that size I use when camping, but it's not something I would EDC.

Kershaw Cryo and ZT0300 in comparison. Depending on which pants I wear, I'm doing fine with the 0300 as EDC, it's not very gentlemany though...

At some point I will need to get a 300 for my collection.

I don't mind carrying larger knives during the colder months.

Good Lord! Thanks for that comparison. That's very helpful. I couldn't edc that, but I'll take a look at for a camp knife.

Yeah dude. My philosophy(if you want to call it that) of carry is starting to lean towards smaller carry blades. The majority of my knives are what I consider medium to large folders(mostly Emersons) in the 3.5 inch blade range and well over 4 ounces in weight. Makes carrying them a bit of a chore when you factor in keys, wallet, phone, flashlight etc. adding to that, they're all G10 scaled models so they really tear up your pockets.

I have been edc'ing blades for 3 years now and the two knives I really enjoyed carrying the most were my benchmade mini griptilian and my spyderco dragonfly. Both small blades, both very light and easy to carry and both up to the tasks that I encounter on a daily basis.

Sadly, I also lost both of them.

Last summer I took my Vic climber on vacation and it saved the day more than once. For minimalist carry I would go with a Vic Alox Cadet. Would also double as a great travel blade.

Been pocket carrying my Izula II the past couple of days. Despite being a fixed blade I find it carries quite well in pocket.

SOG trident for EDC had it for a couple of months now. Very useful.

That's a good knife.

Yea it was good purchase in my eyes. I bought a buck bones knife first just because of the look factor (big mistake) after reading some reviews and how the frame lock gives out I returned it. Mainly use it the trident for fishing & cutting boxes, ropes etc.k. The spring assisted feature is what I'm falling in love with the most.

I had an Emerson Super CQC-8 in the mail today. Apparently I just can't stop getting big-ass knives...

I own 5 Emersons. They're addictive, however not very practical for my needs.

I've been getting that irrational urge to purchase another knife again. To round out my Emerson collection, I kind of want to get a CQC-7.

in light of recent events, What is the best knife you could legally carry to kill a motherfucker in NYC?

Max blade length is 4 inches. That's still a pretty sizable blade.
Knives, however, are not great self defense weapons unless you have considerable training.
