I've been carrying a Spyderco Persistence for a couple of days so I thought I'd post some first impressions.
Pros:
Sharp out of the box
Thin
Fits my hand well
Opens smoothly and locks tightly
I feel it's a good value (I got for $35 shipped)
Cons:
I stripped the screws when trying to change the pocket clip to tip up carry. The metal must be very soft. I'll be carrying this one tip down apparently.
It rides pretty high in my pocket, probably about 1/2 inch.
It's pretty wide so my hand doesn't fit comfortably in pocket when I'm wearing pants that aren't loose.
Verdict:
I like the knife and would certainly give one as a gift. It's a good value and feels solid.
The blade is a great length and it will be in the rotation, but it won't replace my Kershaw Cryo as my go to EDC.
