What is preventing you from being a bigger UFC fan?

The wife beater who's the face of the org, the crazy weight cutting, guys not getting banned for roids, the stupidity and unprofessional behavior of some of the fighters, lacking of proper support for the fighters, no union for the fighters, the fake belts, people getting passed over who deserve the title shot, etc etc etc

Too many low level fighters on the roster.

Too much social media.

Too much political bullshit.

Too much Dana White

Too much favoritism

Too corporate

Too much Anthony Smith

Too many decision fighters.

Too many events drawing cards too thin

Too many reasons

Too many fighters. Too many events. No build up. Everyone being a social media diva= no backstage mystery or intrigue.

Back then, you never knew what was happening behind the scene and so the mystery was intense and inspired curiosity.

Today, you have guys like conor: Loooooook At MMEEEEEEEEEE!

Every 10 seconds.

Watered down cards, and cringy promotions.
Also, too many cards in the US. Yeah, I know its the biggest market, but we're talking personal reasons here. Sorry, not getting up at 5AM to watch some who-da-fook-is-this-guy's fight.

- PPV price: I'm not privy to streams. It seems they have a better grasp on piracy control. If they can severely halter illegal viewings I wish ppvs were cheaper. $80 for 5 fights is pretty asinine. The ppv model as a whole tbh. You don't see major sports on ppv

- Live events/tickets: Tickets are too expensive. Ufc has been in talks of accelerating Apex cards for cost but really I think it's best to tour, get the ufc out there. It's good for all fans and highlights the cities. It should be more affordable too. It's no longer so much an every man accessible event. And that's the market

TlDR: UFC is becoming a rich man's sport and it sucks.

The heavy sway towards strikers.

The timezone. Being in the UK I always feel like a bit of a casual re-watching events the day after or throughout the working week. Only just finishing off the Vettori event for example today.

Lack of personalities and star building.

Commentary. God it's woeful. Constantly trying to push one guy over the other guy. Trying to big them up as the next best thing.

Not too fussed about this one, but I do think there are too many low level fighters at the bottom of the roster. Cut a small percentage and trim down the number of fights per card or cards per year (this is more a business model thing I get that). AJ Cunningham bless him, no right to be in the UFC I'm afraid.

Finances. I can't afford the Conor tattoo, Venum fight kit, or UFC hit dog brander much less bid on the Amanda Lemos gloves or Ruffy jersey.

This post is unintentionally funny but so highlights one of the major issues with the UFC. Their merchandise is too expensive. If you look on their website just short sleeve shirts are averaging around $30 for one shirt. That's some stupid pricing.
