All of my favorite fighters are retired. Probably nature of the beast. I was an avid fan of the Saints, Bengals, Reds, and Yankees but over time I lost interest after all my guys retired. It's hard to get invested in anyone now.

Rules like some other people have already said. Inconsistency and not punishing for clear fouls, allowing stalling etc.

Otherwise maybe lack of European athletes (that would also give us events here with better time zones), but there is not much what they can do about it, if there aren’t any.

MMA is too hard to digest. No one wants to give up their entire saturday to watch MMA. no other sport requires such sacrifice

The only reason the cards last for an entire night are the advertisements. You take away the commercials and make the walkouts happen within two minutes of the previous fight ending and you could have an entire card from start to finish in under half of the current time. Not these long drawn out thirty minute walkouts and intros.

Imagine if MLB just decided to make ten minutes between innings mandatory to play more commercials. This is essentially where the UFC is at. They waste hours every single broadcast instead of fighting. If you've attended a UFC event live it's even worse with the constant downtime to blast advertisements.
