Elections What does threat to democracy mean?

It means the dems think their supporters have the IQ's of rocks and they really thought they would believe their horseshit.

Again, I already told you, I don’t give a fuck if he bribed some judge or hid some piece of paper when the other side is pushing for child mutilation and discrimination based on skin colour, so fuck you and your bodying, you tell me how you justify that before you fucking ask me about some stupid shit I couldn’t care less about.

Oh that's easy! I don't give a shit what people choose to do to their bodies as long as it isn't negatively affecting others. Taking an interest in that, to me, is weird and creepy as fuck. Even more-so than the feigned outrage about gay people and abortion that conservatives in this country have bleated on about for decades.

I've got a stunning bit of news for you though. I've heard tell that it's actually possible to care about more than one thing at the same time.

I know, I know. It sounds like madness. I mean, who could possibly fit more than one subject in their brain all at once? But it's true! You should try it! You can actually care about your weird little tranny fetish AND Donald Trump trying to overthrow our democratic elections.

When folks on the left talk about Republicans being a "threat to democracy," what does that mean exactly? It seems like when people vote for someone other than a Democrat, it's a "threat to democracy." But when people vote for their preferred candidate in fair elections, isn't that democracy? Kamala being selected vs. elected as the Dem nominee is the only recent example of an undemocratic process that I can see.

A threat to their control over the series of institutions they use to enact their will over their political opponents.

Switch democracy with bureaucracy and it starts to make more sense

I’m talking about CHILDREN you muppet… You think children can consent to having their genitals removed?

So 12,000 mutilated American kids every year is insignificant to you?

Children who receive hormone therapy is 3,000 per year. Children who get genital gender affirming surgery is 18 per year.

I should fucking care less about that then Trump bribing some judge or whatever the fuck you’re going on about?

You dont know the details and titles of the individuals involved. Yet still formulating strong opinions on it and going further by justifying bribery.

Election denial, false elector slates, "dictator on day one", wanting to rip up the constitution, planting a bunch of people in different positions in the government so he can get away with shit, paraphrasing Hitler multiple times, asking state's governors to "find ballots", threatening to violate posse comitatus, wanting to destroy the press, etc. But, you're not gonna listen because democrats bad, just like democrats aren't going to honestly assess nor do anything about why they keep losing. Just keep courting republicans, guys.

Fuck it let’s say it’s just ONE. They tell me they’re gonna mutilate just one child, only one child per year sacrificed at the altar of gender affirmation, I would still care more about that then Trump falsifying some fucken paperwork. If this is difficult for you to understand, then I don’t know what else to tell you, I simply side with the side that looks less insane.

You remind me of those intellectually lazy "single issue voter" bumpkins who pretend that abortion or guns are the end-all, be-all political issues that trump everything else going on in the world, when really they just use it to justify their complete ignorance of every issue that is actually important to the country, just so they can feel good about filling in the (R) every four years.

Saying "I don't care about Trump attempting to overthrow democracy because a kid got gender reassignment surgery" doesn't make you sound righteous; it makes you sound like a complete moron.

Your issue isnt that these treatments exist. Its that you dont even think the medical condition is real.

Fascists always use democracy to justify an end of democracy. Like suggesting that if people vote FOR fascism, then they should be able to have that. You also see this with Etho-state proponents. "Well if that's what people want, why cant they have it?"

A threat to democracy is simple, it's the erosion of the viability of the voting process so that either the system continuously yields the same results without objective verification (no outside parties able to observe the election process), or the altogether elimination of it..."we will fix it so you never need to vote again." Republicans have LONG been fighting to make voting more difficult, purging voting registries of perfectly eligible voters, gerrymandering egregiously and unapologetically along racial lines, all these kinds of things are erosions of the process. Disenfranchisement. And this has been excused by an increasingly undereducated citizenry fed populist rhetoric (which has benefitted both parties at different points).

The way I see it you know that's not a viable argument when it requires having to indoctrinate your children into why its viable and you have to work past their most basic confusion. "Everyone gets to vote, whoever gets the most votes wins. If you didnt get enough votes, you try to better explain why your ideas are good." That's very very simple and can be practiced with them. Add layers of procedure to that and they'll start to think you're jiving them, because you are. The electoral college wont ever make much sense to them unless you explain its real origin, which is terrible. Also try explaining to them that you voted in a way so that they wont ever have their say over who Governs them or how, some will go along with it to please you the same way fundamentalist kids do with their zealot parents, but it's also a really fast way to make radicals.

Ok bud, me and the hundred million other morons who disagree with you are gonna continue to rejoice, while you twisted freaks choke on your butthurt for another 4 years.

Bringing up what's in kids' underpants to justify your fascism makes you the twisted freak.

No need to even go that far, we are talking about children who are unable to consent to anything and don’t fucking know anything first of all.

Also how is this a “treatment”, If you have a little boy who one day tells you he’s a girl, your logical conclusion is to chop his dick off?

Democrats just appointed a candidate after forcing the sitting president to not run for reelection. They did not give their voters a chance to vote in a primary. The same party that worked hard to keep RFK Jr off the ballots when they thought he was going to steal votes from them and then worked hard to keep him on the ballots to steal votes from Trump after he joined his cabinet and stated that he wanted himself removed from the ballot.

Yeah they're saving democracy alright.
