What books are you reading?

I just marathoned these two in a day. I recommend both.

Some good recommendations on here. Will order 'Gangsters of Capitalism' and 'The immortality key' for sure.

Just read 'Fear and Loathing' which was great and decided to start reading 'Post Office' to get me started into Bukowski's work. Really easy fun read with a lot of laugh out loud moments.

I'm also listening to 'Dune' on Audio after watching the film which is very good. The voice over is pretty spot on for the most part and it often plays background music to help set the tone.
Fear and Loathing is such a classic. Hunter Thompson’s essay collection is great too. Let me know what you think of Bukowski. I haven’t read his work.

Right now I'm reading Making authentic shaker furniture. It's not bad. Gives a brief history of the early shaker settlements and then goes into the furniture. Mainly got it because it has measured drawings of a lot of classic shaker pieces

I loved WWZ and was very disappointed with Devolution, especially the ending.

I've been on a Chuck Palahniuk kick lately. Choke is all kinds of messed up (in a good way), but in rereading Fight Club I found it to be surprisingly flat.

no shit but Pygmy is my fav chcuk book.

The Nova Incident by Dan Moran. Book 3 of the Galactic Cold War series.

What is this Mayberry? What is this 'books'? I think I need to go. lollllllllllll

Working through The Iron-Dragon's Mother on audiobook, if that counts.

Kind of a Trilogy book in a wild fantasy world. Yes, I actually read the other 2, lol.

@kjg1672 Finished Christine Falls. The author is good, very descriptive, had to look up quite a few words in the novel. Great Stuff. I ordered the next book in the Quirke Series to read soon. Thanks for the recommendation fellow BookSherWorm.

Which honestly has been kind of a let down so far. I’m about a third the way through it. It was well reviewed. It’s well researched but it just hasn’t been very engaging to me. Maybe it’s because I already know that era so well that I don’t find it as interesting as some. I dunno.

just bought this last night because it sounded interesting. Looking forward to starting it
Just finished Between Two Fires, thanks for the recommendation. It had Diablo vibe that I liked a lot, how did you like it?

I loved it. The ending felt a little weak if I’m being critical but overall I loved it. I’ve sense read another of his books, those across the river I think was the title. It wasn’t as good but I liked it too. He’s pretty good and building some scary scenes imo.

I agree with the Diablo vibes. I love that Middle Ages with demons and misters setting.

The Making of the October Crisis : Canada's Long Nightmare of Terrorism at the Hands of the FLQ

I remember learning a tiny bit about this in my high school history class.

It's pretty good so far. I enjoy learning about the political history of Quebec and why it's so engrained in many people here.

Practical permaculture

Been reading like a madman lately. Currently reading “The Troop” by Nick Cutter. Pretty decent so far. Prior book was “Eversion” by Alastair Reynolds, and absolutely loved it(9/10). Almost as much as “House of Suns”, but not quite.

Starting the Bobiverse stuff after the book I’m currently on.

Just started the second Petrie book. Not too bad . Not as good as Reacher's older stuff but readable.

Just subscribed to the Marvel Unlimited comics. Working through the Civil storyline and restarted the Spider-man comics .
