This is the first book I’ve read in the Strafford series. But Banville has written a series of Quirke novels under the name Benjamin Black, of which I would recommend Holy Orders.
So I looked at that one, sounds good, but I ordered Christine Falls which is the first book in there series. I will read it shortly. The descriptions of the books sound interesting. Thanks for the recommendation.

Be My Baby by Ronnie Spector. Lead singer of the Ronettes. Sang Be My Baby, Merry Christmas (Please Come Home), Walking in the Rain, Baby I Love You. Later recorded with Springsteen, Southside Johnny & others.

Great stories about touring with The Rolling Stones, getting to know David Bowie, life after marriage to producer Phil Spector. Tough kid from Spanish Harlem. She has a heart of gold.

Set the Night on Fire by Krieger, The Stories of Ray Bradbury, The Essential Ellison: A 35-Year Retrospective, Bradbury Stories: 100 of His Most Celebrated Tales, How to Avoid a Climate Disaster by Gates, Inside Star Trek: The Real Story by Solow and Justman

This is book 7 in the Peter Ash series. Just started it tonight. If you like Lee Child's Jack Reacher books these are good reads. I read the first 6 the last 2 months.

Cheers. Just finished the new Reacher book, written by Andrew Child not Lee Child. God it was crap. Hopefully these might fill a Reacher sized void...

Vince Flynn's Mitch Rapp books are reasonable. Make sure you get his though, not the one's co-written though...

Also just started Chris Carter ' An Evil Mind'.

I normally have several books on the go at once...

Reading old sailor narratives of their shipwrecks and survival on islands near Antarctica from 1700-1900s. Interesting stuff.

I read 2 or 3 at a time usually too.

The Reacher books have gone downhill for a few years now, but there are 22 or so out. He has to be getting low on ideas.

The Peter Ash books are similar and different. His side characters are really good too.

I will check that book out tonight online at work.

@Tone C I ordered the 1st book in the series, American Assassin. Will read it soon.

Yea, it's kind of not the first in the series although it is....Flynn released several other Rapp books before American Assassin then went and wrote the prequel to those as to how Rapp got trained etc.

A bit like some of the Reacher books when he writes about times when he still was in the Army...8
