What books are you reading?

Some good recommendations on here. Will order 'Gangsters of Capitalism' and 'The immortality key' for sure.

Just read 'Fear and Loathing' which was great and decided to start reading 'Post Office' to get me started into Bukowski's work. Really easy fun read with a lot of laugh out loud moments.

I'm also listening to 'Dune' on Audio after watching the film which is very good. The voice over is pretty spot on for the most part and it often plays background music to help set the tone.

When I finally get my weekend off, I'll be reading a book on Rumi.

I remember a few years ago there was a thread on good horror books for this time of year. It was the first time that someone had recommended me to read Penpal which was awesome. Anybody got any good recommendations? I tried House of Leaves and for the life of me I just can’t get into it.

The Shimmer by Carsten Stroud.

First book from this author for me. It was good enough. It's a time travel cop story. Its time travel mechanics was explained well enough, had a decent ending. very fast read. I'd read another Stroud at some point

Just started Devolution by Max Brooks, its fiction based on a 'tue story' of when a bigfoot fucked up this entire village. the fuck do I know but it looked cool, and I liked WWZ so why not.

I'm currently reading Lamb by Bonnie Nadzam. I enjoyed the movie adaptation and re-watched it recently, so I figured it was about time I read the book. I'm about 40% into it and it's a good read. It's interesting denoting the differences between the book and the film version.

I bought my dad a copy of Salman Rushdie's The Satanic Verses for his birthday last month. I plan on reading that one next...

I think Auerbach has another book out no ?

I loved WWZ and was very disappointed with Devolution, especially the ending.

I've been on a Chuck Palahniuk kick lately. Choke is all kinds of messed up (in a good way), but in rereading Fight Club I found it to be surprisingly flat.
