Still on Ghostwire: Tokyo, Chapter 4.

I've decided to save all of the souls in the city. It's time consuming, sure, but on occasion, it does lead you to the odd flat with a side story not marked with a side mission logo.

Stories are creative, presentation in them can be beautiful.

Oh, and I haven't crashed once, or had any noticeable performance issues.

A lot of care has been put into this game.

Assassins Creed: Odyssey

I vowed to stay away from these games, after "AC:Origins" bored me to tears, but I was struggling to find a meaty single player game that I hadn't already played to death, so against my better judgement I hopped in, and...WOW. I am truly shocked at how good this is. It's "AC:Origins", but way more refined. They knew what they wanted with this game, and that is a fully fledged open world western RPG. They simply didn't fuck around with this one, and it's hard to explain the vast differences between this, and the previous entry, as they are very similar on the surface. Everything from the enemy layouts, to the general exploration, to the customization, to the dialogue options and mission design, just seem to have more thought put into it. It's the AC2 of this reboot series. It doesn't feel generic and confused. It's an RPG through and through, that feels a little bit "Skyrim", and a little bit "Witcher", and just a tiny bit AC, and that is a great thing.

If it didn't have the "Assassins Creed" label, and was just a "Roman Times" RPG, it would've been a breakout hit(I understand it was still highly successful, but you know what I mean). I kind of had to force my way to say I liked the early goings on in "Origins", because I could already feel the Ubi grind and lack of overall polish, but that's not the case here. Unless it totally phones it in past the ten hour mark(very possible), I'm pretty confident in thinking they really nailed it with this game. I'm speechless. I can't believe I like this as much as a do.

Yeah i'm a big fan of Odyssey too. I think i spent more time with the mercenary system than anything else, which is not surprising since it's very similar to the nemesis system in the Middle Earth games and i loved both those. I especially like when you reach rank #1 on the merc ladder and suddenly there are even more powerful mercs that will quite literally shit on your soul.

By far the best AC game of the series. Great game world, good combat, good characters, nails all the best things about the revamped games combined with the great stealth of the originals and the seafaring of Black Flag.

Love it.

I started Astro's Playroom, the PS5 pack in game.

Fun little platformer with tons of references to the past of the Playstation brand. Ive seen Crash, Spyro, Horizon, Tomb Raider, and Bloodborne so far and I played less than an hour.

If they make a sequel into a full fledged game, I would buy it. At least if the part i played is reflective of the rest of the game.

Astro’s Playroom is so good. I really wish it was fleshed out into a full game, it would have potential to be one of the absolute best platformers ever IMO. Everything about it is superb.

My kids don’t game, but they love watching me play Astro.

Finishing up my second play through of Pathfinder: WOTR so I can get around to playing RE4 and Dead Space remakes. Two of my favorite games I've put off not playing for too long.

If you like CRPGs/ D&D type games I highly recommend Pathfinder. The game literally consumes you and is a lot of fun.
I was playing WoTR , game is gold. Especially if you’re in love with DND. im stuck where I just entered the Demons realm and just stopped playing because I wasn’t enjoying my class and the way I started getting whoomped. I was playing a hunter/Druid cross class. But I think I should have went with inquisitor since everything is a demon pretty much.

Beat Harvestella. Really fun story and terrific music. Starts as just a life sim with working a farm and by the end you are in a ridiculous sci-fi/fantasy epic.

Game is probably a 6.5 or 7. But was just so addicting and fun that I cannot really rate it other than highly enjoyable

Have this on my wishlist to play eventually. Looks great and nice to hear it changes into something epic.

Kinda had the same issue on my first playthrough. I went with an Instinctual Barb (angel mythic path) and started the game on hard. I figured it wouldn't be too bad since I've beat D:OS2 on the hardest difficulty, but hell. This game has a huge learning curve compared to other ARPGs I've played. I didn't really care for my build, so I just ended up lowering my difficulty between normal and easy for the rest of my run.

Now I'm playing through with a Skald on Hard doing the demon mythic path, and I'm enjoying it even more now that I've got the game mechanics down.

Also if you didn't know you can respec characters if you talk to the NPC Hilor, or his buddy in the demon city.

So many npcs to keep track of the (it’s not kenabres, the capital city you take over from the demons and face Minagho ) in the first city you take. I couldn’t remember where he was , like the inn or barracks.

I kinda like the rogue build but I love having a an animal companion that hunter/ranger provides. There’s an Inquisitor subclass that I think is called divine hunter??

i wasn’t expecting the army you control and had a hard time figuring out to get reinforcements from the capital or you could merge armies . I sucked so much that the game took control of it away from me so I know I missed out on chests and other gear from that chain.

Nunzio’s companion quest had me tearing my hair out. I was at her companion mission and looked up how to do the puzzle online and it didn’t work for me.

I love the characters they’ve built reminds me of a lot of old time RPG’s I used to play.
Only thing is a negative for me is there’s no Gunslinger class. I just wanna make a Baron Redpeake toon lol

I'm getting more used to it, now that game has opened up a bit, but that first guy was like Jason Vorhees to me. Just stalking me everywhere. I would hear that horn sound, and be all "Oh' God, it's him...it's HIM!". I eventually got my equipment up to snuff after a bit in that first area, and managed to fight him off and kick him off a cliff(which was SO satisfying), but it was a crazy introduction to that system. Now I'm just going with the flow, and understand how it all works, but that first guy really put me on edge when he appeared. That was a big part of turning me on to this game.

Sitting at the credits of Ghostwire Tokyo.

The final chapter is one of the most beautiful and moving pieces of media that I've ever experienced. Goosebumps.

Only issue is that I'd like to have seen a bit more facial distinction from the spirits, but I get why it is what it is.

Highly recommended as a Game Pass download. I'd even pay full price for it, on hindsight. It isn't for everyone, but I loved it.

Only thing I'd say is if you do get it, don't rush through the main story. It's fairly short and you miss out on a lot by not freeing spirits and doing the side missions.

I'm giving it all a 9/10.

I couldn’t really get into Odyssey (despite the fact that I put 30+ hours into it), but I really enjoyed Origins. I put over 50+ hours into it and I’m still not finished. I think I’m going to give Odyssey another chance.

Been playing some rouge likes lately- Hades, Dead Cells. Both great fun I think I prefer Dead Cells overall due to the variety of builds

Across the Obelisk. A deck building lite roguelike. Somewhat similar to Slay the Spire. I have over 60 hours in it so far.

A lot of characters, cards and equipment to unlock. Gameplay consists of 4 acts. 1 and last one have the same map but you can choose the middle ones from a set of three. Though until you unlock dispel magic cards for your healers you are going to get stomped by status effects in later acts.
