Picked up EA Sports PGA Tour for PS5. For the most part I think it looks and feels slightly better than 2K23 and I definitely appreciate the vastly superior selection of real courses. It's solid aside from a few issues. Honestly some of these things make me wonder if the developers even play golf.
1. You can't move your tee in the tee box. So those branches hanging over on the left. You're just going to have to swing further right to avoid them rather than simply moving the tee right.
2. Chipping and bunker shots. The player sets up like a normal shot and makes an awkward abbreviated swing instead of actually setting up like a chip or bunker shot.
3. Uphill putts consistently break more than downhill putts.
4. I'm no pro, I'm like a 10 handicap. But when I hit a mid iron onto a green it's going to stick and maybe even spin back, not run out another 30 feet.
5. The tempo of the swing just feels slow and the camera angle is at a weird offset so it makes the ball look like it's going right every time. The only thing I can see that you can change is how high the camera is, not left or right.
