Xbox newbs?
I'm guessing just rando problems. You kind of need a dedicated group to get the most out of these types of squad based cooperative games. Otherwise, it's a crapshoot, and more often than not people will be doing their own thing.

Helldivers 2 is annoying me.

Game after game, everyone splits up, bringing a load of enemies into the fray, and they don't even touch the objective.

I've been quitting a lot.

It's probably more experienced players farming samples. Once you figure out the game mechanics with experience, you can operate more independently and samples become a priority. You're jumping into the game pretty late on, with players who've been around a lot longer. I was the same because I started a few months after release, and at first I'd sometimes piss people off by playing the objectives while they were all hunting for samples. I could be wrong though, presumably there are lots of newbies right now given the major update (Would guess this update has added more unlockables which require samples though, so could be lots of farming going on)

Beat Shinobi of Vengeance. Thought it was great. Got all the levels to 100% but not going for plat requires way to much of my time and I don't feel like trying to no hit run levels.

Started up Remnant 2. I started this with some friends a while back when it was on PS+ which I knew was a mistake because I knew they wouldn't stick to it. We only got about 3 hours deep but actually finished the first world. Started a new character and the first world took me much longer. Made it through the second world as well. Really enjoying the game and the changes they've made. Running Hunter/Handler for now.

Playing Cronos The New Dawn. It’s incredible so far. A little too much of the same enemies but other than that no big complaints. I like that Blooper Team focuses on survival horror. My two favorite genres and action and horror but oddly enough I dislike them when they’re combined. Capcom makes great games but I wish they focused on the survival aspect over action which is why I wasn’t a huge fan of Village. Cronos is for anyone that loved Silent Hill 2 Remake. While not nearly as scary (but still very intense) it is the harder of the two. The ammunition is very scarce. Found myself running out a few times which hasn’t happened in other games. The way the story unfolds is awesome. For the first couple of hours the story is simply told by reading notes but once you meet the Warden you realize there’s more to the story and it’s probably the most unique part of the game. With Silksong dominating the discourse right now I hope people eventually come around to this game when the hype dies down a bit. Can’t wait for Silent Hill f after this. Genuinely curious to see which one I’ll like better

9 out of 10 for me. Really enjoyed my time with Shinobi. It does so many things really well. It just needs a roguelike update like Streets of Rage 4 got with its survival mode. Only criticism is some levels are so massive that it hurts the replayability of arcade mode for me. Especially that desert level.

Really glad you returned and committed to Rem2, bud.

Mega fun game that really rewards you for difficulty and progression. Great visuals and build latitude.

Remember what I said about the Awakened King expansion if interested!

Yep easy 9/10. I loved it and the only ding I give it is that some of the platforming sections I feel are way to hard and I wish the plat overall was easier to get. I wish devs would stop making plats for their games so hard. IMO plats should be fun to get and not require so much extra work after beating a game. Glad at least Sony finally caught on 5-6 years ago.

Yep I loved Rem1 so I always expected to get to 2 was just waiting to have that urge to really dive into it. Almost bought Hell is Us and then I remembered Remnant 2 has that same feel so I just decided to go with that since I already paid for it last time it was on sale. Just beat the world last night with the day\night dimension. Such an amazing place really enjoyed that one.

Im working my way through all the life is strange games. Just finished "True Colors" and started "Before the Storm".

True colors was the most realistic of the franchise so far which has its good and bad. The dialogue and character actions were the most realistic. However, the story was also the most dull. I would rank it behind the original "life is Strange" and "Double Exposure"

Im a couple hours into Before the strom and I have to say this one is quite annoying. The protagonist is a 16 year old teen angst bad ass who just wants to rebel and curse up a storm. It really is the first unlikable character that I have had to play as in the franchise. But Ill power through.

Just started Borderlands 4. Wasn't going to buy it but just said fuck it.

FINALLY beat the Yellow Wind Sage in BMW. I don't think I've ever died a few hits from victory so many times to a single boss. Good god thank the lord that's over.

Trepang2

Amazing FPS. Love it so far even though it's pretty difficult and I die a lot and the levels are long and challenging the gameplay and music are top notch and keep you playing through it instead of rage quitting.

It recently dropped on Xbox. Lots of Xbox players influx. It's cross platform too.

I tried to convince @Wrath of Foamy to pick up Space Marine 2 instead as I feel it's a vastly superior co-op game.

Nice I didn't even realize it dropped. Will have to check this out. Really enjoyed Observer. Bloober makes good double A games.

Never heard of it but looked up after you'd posted. You can akimbo ARs, it looks like? Awesome.

Yeah, as well as looking spectacular from videos, the cross-platform thing was big for me, as my older brother has an Xbox and my Dad, as well as my adopted Filipino younger brother, both have gaming PCs.

That and I never delved into Warhammer as a kid, and I don't like diving into the latter parts of lore. It's why I never bothered continuing with Witcher 3, because I only got half way through 1 and never touched 2.

I'll get it if there is a big price drop on it. I've paid for a lot of duds this year.

I'm liking this open world setup on bl4. Also like that you don't have to return to the quest to cash in on a side quest. The updated UI is nice too
