I got gifted a key for jagged alliance 3. It’s alright but it’s different than other CRPGs. There is a lot of content and hard to keep track of everything.

Started Nioh 2 but binned it after around 6 hours, was only on the third level, it's just frustratingly difficult, I don't remember the first game being anything like that I loved the first game.

Got Wukong, waiting on the download to finish but the opening cutscene/boss fight was epic I'm looking forward to this.

Wukong was my Game of the Year. Fantastic game.

Finished Unicorn Overlord.

Started Baten Kaitos hd remaster. Never played the Baten Kaitos games but it's my kind of game and I'm enjoying it, maybe 3 hours in.

I also just pre-ordered 16-bit Farming Simulator for the Sega Genesis/Mega Drive! Would have been a cool game if it came out during the consoles years but we had to wait til now.

Recently played Titanfall 2's SP Campaign again since it popped up on Steam for cheap. Still holds up, it's pretty short but still better than most

Also completed Dead Island 2. Thought it was decent. I wasn't a fan of the first game, and generally thought this was a kind of mediocre entry in the zombie genre but it did have some great qualities, such as the gore, weapon variety and the nice environments

Tried Far Cry 6 for a bit. I've been a fan of the series but idk, after a few hours something feels off about this game. The combat isn't satisfying and it feels slow and plodding (Especially after Titanfall 2). Uninstalled, maybe will try again in future

Started Postal: Brain Damaged and it's pretty fun. Obviously very wacky and absurb, it feels like a cartoon, but the gunplay is solid and satisfying. It has a double barrelled shotgun with the meat hook like Doom which is a huge plus

Also been playing Crime Scene Cleaner and I dig it. It's basically a Janitor Simulator except you gotta clean up very bloody murders, making sure not to leave any evidence behind. It's very relaxing and low stress.

I'm gonna kind of binge on this recent trend of Simulator games. I got TCG Card Shop Simulator, I'll probably get Schedule One (Drug Dealer Simulator) which has a lot of buzz, and I also reinstalled House Flipper

Caved in and bought Monster Hunter: Wilds.

£65 for the base game, holy shit. On the flip side, I like Monster Hunter and Yakuza/LaD. Everything else seems to fall flat, so I probably won't buy anything for a long while.

I've never been an excellent Monster Hunter player, but I can hold my own.

I'm wondering if I should ditch the shield entirely in this one, as the devs obviously had a preference on how players should play in Iceborne...

Just finished the main campaign of Monster Hunter: Wilds.

It must have taken me about ten hours or so to polish it off. AI support system made it a doddle.

The combat is engaging to play as the presentation has impact but the radial menu is a nightmare to navigate in the heat of battle. It's fun, though honestly, I don't know if it is better or worse than Worlds. It looks better, feels better, but it's also easier and, though I respect new types of monsters being introduced, older monsters are missed. Also, though a few of the boss fights are spectacular, the substance isn't there compared to Worlds. It's not as beefy on content as Worlds was at launch either. I also had zero reason or incentive to catch monsters either. I didn't find any tranquilizer ammo, or have a reason to use any traps. Fiddling with items wasn't worth it.

It's a gorgeously designed world and I'm hoping that post credits, I'll have a reason to visit all areas again. I kind of prefer the main game being more like Worlds Guiding Lands. It'll be nice to head on to gather and to hunt, as opposed to working through menus all the time. That's still there, if required though.

Storyline is, there. It's supposed to be hard hitting and moving, but it's twaddle. Characters are likeable, but also utter, pretentious wusses at times, idiotic at others. If I met them in real life, I'd like them, but they'd do my head in as well. It lacked grit. It's really odd how Capcom tried to shoehorn in environmentalism in a game that's based around killing things for materials.

Even though the game was designed beautifully, it has issues with dull textures and faded textures at times. I'm getting the impression that the Xbox Series S is going to be technologically obsolete sooner rather than later.

It's not as good as Worlds was at launch. The environment may look prettier, but Worlda spanks it everywhere else.

I'll keep playing though. It's a charming game and I'm expecting a lot of updates and improvements in the months to come. Capcom were excellent with it in Worlds. Also, the community is probably one of the only communities in gaming to be unreserved supportive and not be toxic.

7.5/10, but should improve over time.

Just installed Jedi: Survivor with an application file north of 150 GB. Now that's what I call galactic. *nyuck-nyuck Seriously though, 2x what I'd expected. Huge. Enjoyed Fallen Order but been a few years now; excited to fire up tonight.
