lol you have to hit the arms. Two or three hits with Ares and it goes out of god mode and gets stunned I think to. In fact using Ares almost this whole fight is required.

now if only they would refill my mp...went into the arena low, might have to start an earlier save and gather some mako shards before i hop on the elevator

Yea I had low MP as well. Had to use Ares ability to refill MP and was able to get it filled back up.

man, i just had another crack at it and was beating it handily

then in came the cutter mechs

Tried playing Guacamelee 2 last night since it's free on GP. I played through 1 and I though it was fun but really annoying at times. Gave up on 2 because I just don't like thing game basically exactly the same as the first with same annoyances.
 
Downloaded Greedfall played the first 10 minutes just to see what it's about. Probably play it next week once I finish GoT. Kind of sick of GoT, but I just have a bit left so I'm going to power through.

lol I know it's such a ridiculous boss fight but you were right at the end. I think lightning takes them out quickly. If you can land it on them while on the spell that makes her cast twice it'll almost be dead if not dead. Using your strongest lightning attack. I think I was able to save my summon for this part also.

Really? What's bugging you? I know the beat 'em style has it's moments of frustration, due to just how frantic it can get when they throw you into a gantlet with enemies that need to be beaten a certain way, but other than that, I find it hard to find any flaws in it.
 
Took a break from ME3 last night. Fired up nba 2k. First game, first quarter held the other team scoreless. 16-0. Coach put me on the bench. Came in 2 minutes into the 2nd quarter and my team was losing.

Love them B-ball games and their rubber banding bullshit...

No games burn my ass quite like basketball games that so obviously artificially change the outcome of the game, and handicaps the player. When Lebron starts going for layups on breakaways...and missing them, you know the AI fix is in, and you're about to be on the other side of 26-2 run.
 
@method115 came close again but got trapped into a corner by the remaining cutter robot, fuck

pains me to do it but i'm starting this chapter over and going into the arena with full mp (didn't have save in wall market). by the time the robots came into play i was down to scraps, plus soul drain is just wasting aerith's ATB imo

Yea might be best to just start over. The soul drain worked for me but I might have had more MP to start off then you did. I know at the end of that fight the only reason I won was because I simultaneously ended god mode, while cloud got killed during the fire summon, setting off the summons ult killing the boss and cutters. I would have 100% died if it wasn't for that.
 
@method115 after a few close calls i got it done finally!

changed weapons for better mp consumption/regeneration, used poison as a non-elemental spell and some extra damage/stagger building and saved bahamut until the phase with the robots

just relaxed and picked my shots better, saved ATB for the right moments and fucked shit up

Playing Ghost of Tsushima right now

It's pretty great, I'm having a ton of fun.

Combat makes you feel so bad ass, always switching stances for the appropriate weapon feels great.

Also really liking the story and characters so far.

Lady Masako is a bad ass grandma.

Gonna be a bit sad when I finish this game, but i still have a good chunk to do on 2 parts of the map.

After this gonna try out the FF7 Remake, which I have heard great things about.

I'm a huge fan of the original.

I completely forgot to mention Bio. It's a must in hard mode. Congrats man I know it felt good getting that W.
 
Blasphemous gets the Glide seal of approval. Gory as all heck and over the top boss fights. Love it!





 
Played Uboat for a couple hours tonight, made it out of my home port and hunted my first victim. 45 minutes of stalking and lining up my shot, just to have the torpedo miss. Holy shit that was frustrating.
