Lol. I downloaded swtor a couple days ago. Figured i go through the story content, kinda bored. My lord it took a loooong time to download.
I forgot just how horrid the engine was on. You can play a game like WoW and forget it is like 16 years old, but jesus does ToR feel dated.

Same. Already spent my 15 dollars so I could try the new stuff
Lol, me too. I dont do mmos but i loved kotor 1 and 2. Anytime an old voice actor or a music theme from the old games comes around i get happy. Seems like there is at least a month's worth of content in there though.

I'm still playing/living in Elite: Dangerous. I'm around 14K Light Years away from human colonized space just doing some exploring and I'm solo. If I get in trouble I'm on my own. If I fly to close to a star or crash my rover after I've landed on a planet... Boom all of that exploration data...

Gone.

Been thinking about getting these two..

I just CAN'T be the only sherdogger playing this GEM of a game!

I've heard great things and glad to see some of you agree. I watch some video game channels on YouTube and it's always mentioned when discussing PS3 games. I played a tad more on Saturday and enjoyed it. Love the way it looks. I've always been really into turn based RPGs but never strategy. I need to finish South Park so I can focus on my attention on it. Assuming you get to upgrade armor/guns eventually?
I don't even like strategy games and JRPGs that much, but that is one of the best games I've ever played.

That's good for the developers. It's a great game, but I don't think going exclusive did them any favors in the long term. Seems like it has limited appeal just in general, so cutting some of the market off seems self defeating, even if MS gave them a nice chunk of change.

Still haven't beaten it. I can now smoke the first seven or eight bosses no problem, but those later ones can get insane.

Finally caved, bought UBoat on steam. I just can't resist Naval games, and this one seesm like it will scratch that itch for a good long while after Ultimate Admirals fizzled out for me.

Just got done with Doom Eternal. Not sure how to feel about it. When you got to encounter areas, it was basically "run around the area in circles" until an enemy is in front of you, then kill it (or if it is cannon fodder, put into stagger and glory kill or chainsaw), then continue running around because if you stop to aim or something, you get hit / surrounded. So you run around in circle picking them off one by one until your flamer / ice grenade cools down and you use those on a mob of enemies.

I also was annoyed by lack of manual saving, several times it was getting late and I couldn't remember when the last checkpoint was.
Overall it was good though.

Haven't played Eternal yet but am a big fan of manual slotting for saves as well – and not even for scumming but rather the peace of mind of knowing everything I've done up to point x (a point I've designated) is now etched in stone, as it were.

True but Microsoft needed anything they could get just to say the word exclusive especially after all the ones Sony were getting at the time.

Been playing a pretty cool open world 2d RPG called Horizon's Gate. It's like a mashup of Final Fantasy and Sid Meier's Pirates. You can buy and sail fleets, do quests, trade, be a pirate and have naval battles, customize your crew's abilities, etc. I was surprised by how good it is.

I also started Metal Gear Solid V and have been playing alittle bit of AC IV: Black Flag because I've been watching Black Sails.

FF7 Remake or Persona 5 Royal?

Never played either of the series, but in the mood for some RPG. Kinda leaning towards Person but I think the social stuff might get a bit too much for me, seems to be a major part of the game. I played Fire Emblem Three Houses and really liked it but mostly skipped the monastery stuff about halfway through the game.

Two incredibly different but great games.

FF7 is much faster paced and an arpg, Persona 5 is slower and turn based.

How much time do you have? FF7 is like 20-30 hours, whereas Persona 5 is like 80.
