What are you playing now? v2

Sekiro is a lot tougher the DS for me. It's very twitchy, and you have to have some pretty crazy coordination and reflexes to tackle it's enemies once you get a fair bit into it. It starts out reasonable enough, but then you're facing enemies where you have to not only memorize their patterns, but also have to be able to react accordingly, with all of the varied defensive maneuvers you have, with different inputs. Oh', and there are no real ways to game the system either, like grinding or calling in a friend to help you out, like you can do in Dark Souls. It's all on you and your reflexes. It's a tough motherfucker.
Well thats gonna be a no from me. I just don't have that much time to invest in a game. I got a few bosses into DS3 and Bloodborne and it just became me watching youtube videos on how to progress and it just isn't fun.

Yeah, then Sekiro is definitely not something you want to tackle. It lives up to it's reputation. That GOT game seems to be getting well received though, if you still want some samurai action, without the extreme difficulty.

Beat Omega Weapon and Dark Valefor on FFX and I think I am done. I don't think I am going to bother grinding for Penance and Nemesis or taking out the remaining Dark Aeons.

Started Blasphemous yesterday and got about an hour into it. Love the art style and story so far. Hoping the gameplay picks up soon. A lot of the early combat involves just mashing attack or ripostes.

Picked up Shadow Tactics: Blades of the Shogun on the PS Store because of how much I enjoyed Desperados 3...

It’s on sale for $9.99 right now...

If you’re into more tactical and stealth based games that require a bit of thinking, it’s definitely worth a look.

Be prepared to die a lot as well.

Red dead Redemption 2

Had an itch. Luckily I had already played through the painfully long and dull prologue months earlier, so I could just hop right into the good shit. Anyways, I put a good 120 hours into my first run, and I'm already seeing shit I didn't in that run. I never ran across any of the "serial killer" stuff in that run, but today I just stumbled across some random blood trail in the middle of nowhere, and followed it. Led me to a scene where a torso was tied to a boulder with the words "Can you see?" painted on it. There was a severed head with a little map in its mouth, which is essentially the first clue to find the guy. Fucking crazy.

The amount of content that they've tucked away in this game is amazing. It's still surprising me, even though I figured I had seen mostly everything in my first run. The map is just so large and packed with these little details, that I can't imagine ever seeing everything without a guide directing me. Such a good game.

Final Fantasy 9

This is a great game. My favourite of the series is still 12 but this has the best storyline of the ones ive played and i now see why some of the later ones get criticised by ff fans for having weak plots. I played the remastered version and they did a great job with this as the game looks really good for a ps1 title (some of the fx are quite spectacular) and i thought it was a cool contrast to see the mix of old school artwork with the remastered modern fx. Tonnes of little quirks and minigames mean theres a lot to do outside of just battling.

Criticisms are that the bosses were all straightforward and there was none that i had to level up before facing -which was the case in later entries; also the lack of voice actors meant having to press x repeatedly to go through the dialogue which was a bit tedious.

Overall glad i downloaded this -its the earliest in the series ive played and gave an interesting perspective on the series.

I bought Ghost Of Tsushima but took it back today because it's cheaper to start Uncharted 4 & buy it later.
Buckle up, brother. Hell of a ride. Probably buying Ghost next so you and I are in the same headspace on games right now.

Need something new to play now. Accomplished everything I wanted to in WoW until the Xpansion pre pass. Final Fantasy 14 doesn't update for like 3 weeks.

Needed a little old-school to break up all the new-ish games I’ve been playing. Game called Carrion was just released, and been toiling around this morning. You control a weird organism similar to Carpenter’s The Thing. Primitive, but fun to control. Eating cowering humans is always a good time.

ff7 remake hard mode, loving it

been grinding some lesser used heroes on battlefront 2, my go to's are usually luke/yoda/rey and kylo/maul so i've been beefing up anakin, obi-wan, dooku and vader, few matches in a row and i'm good

I've been bouncing around between a few recent purchases for my PS3:

South Park Stick of Truth - will probably keep playing until I'm done I got hooked

Valkyria Chronicles - tried it out Monday and think I'll enjoy it. Never played anything like it.

Castlevania: SOTN - I can't figure out where to go next

Red Dead 1 - decided to take a break when I had to start doing missions for my family and South Park got here

Uncharted 2 - first time playing this series and not loving it so far. Not getting the hype

Started Death Stranding on PC. It sure is Kojima...

I don't really know what to think of it so far. I'm 3 hours in and it's not really fun but it's unique and kinda interesting. It feels like Metal Gear Solid 5 with a different gameplay mechanic. I saw the game length and I'm debating if I should keep going. It's complicated and seems overwhelming right now.

It's either this or Plague: A Tale of Innocence. I'm having a real tough time finding anything to play that is going to hold up after Last of Us II.

You might need to wear the rings in the clocktower in SOTN. Where ya at?

Uuuuuuh what rings? Haha

Maybe I'll take a picture of the map I've cleared. The last thing I found was the thing that allows you to go through blue doors. So I was going back to all those (there's four right?) I feel like I can't find I've of them I've seen before. Really wish they'd show them on the map.

I have been trying to find the double jump because I feel like not having that is preventing me from proceeding through the game.

I know it's extremely difficult for me to explain exactly what's going on so you can give me an answer. I'll play it tonight or tomorrow to see if I can provide a better answer.

Red Dead Redemption 2 for the second time. Didnt really care for it the first time. I admired it from a technical standpoint but found almost no enjoyment from playing it.

Trying to slow down and just appreciate it for what it is and so far its working. I still find it cumbersome at times but I do appreciate the craft. Im also not wasting time on things that do nothing for you in the end like investing in the camp.

It's not perfect by any means but it's still the most impressive game I've ever played.

Gonna play some SWTOR again. Try out the new content.

That is if the thing ever finishes downloading. Their launcher is garbo
