What are you playing now? v2

Two incredibly different but great games.

FF7 is much faster paced and an arpg, Persona 5 is slower and turn based.

How much time do you have? FF7 is like 20-30 hours, whereas Persona 5 is like 80.

Time shouldn't really be an issue, usually have time to play on the weekend and nothing else on my radar until Cyberpunk.

Guess I'll just start with Persona 5 since its on sale right now

Fallout 76 has been eating up a bunch of my time, if you haven't played since the massive DLC drop I highly recommend it. Some of the best lore yet and the Brotherhood of Steel big DLC is coming later this year.

Never played MMOs before but I like the trickle of information. Finding out how the Free States, Responders, and Brotherhood of Steel all failed to beat the Scorched is super interesting. The story is really good and Appalachia is beautiful to traverse.

You might need to wear the rings in the clocktower in SOTN. Where ya at?
Ok finally took a picture of the map I cleared but don't know if I'll help at all. I don't know anything about rings and the last thing I got was the transparent cloak.

The Touryst

This is(or was) apparently a big "hidden gem" on the Switch. All I can say to that is, man the Switch must suck, if this game is a highlight. I mean, it's not bad. It's a decent enough indie game, but that's all it is. Decent. You watch reviews on this fucking thing, and you'd think it was this amazing experience never before seen. It's a neat looking 3D puzzler, with a whole host of gameplay designs. In other words, it's just another experimental indie game. Doesn't do anything great, but has some interesting ideas that aren't fully fleshed out.

I'll say this for it though, it's polished. Haven't run into any technical issues. It's just such a plain and short experience. You are a "tourist" on an island. You solve people's problems, explore a dungeon, and then move onto a new island, where the goals are essentially the same. Not much direction to it all, but it works. There's a bit of satisfaction in figuring out some of it's puzzles, but that's about it. Unless you're absolutely starved for...anything resembling a video game, I can't see people really sticking with it past the first few islands. Not a bad game, but given some reviews(Switch reviews) I've read/watched, it's so incredibly overrated.

5/10

Been playing Divinity: Original Sin 2

One of the best rpg's and one of the best turn based combat systems I've ever seen. And I usually don't even like games with fantasy setting. It is amazing how Larian Studios have nailed pretty much everything in this game. Most games would be happy to have even one aspect of OS2.

Just found out there are mods for mass effect 3. Finishing the last download in a sweet mod list, gonna evil femshep all over the galaxy.

Its wonky at first, took me a couple days total. Seems complicated at first but its not bad. You need 2 mod managers one for textures and one for everything else.

Start at thr nexus. Download everything before you start modding. METweak (something like that) will manage mods. The EGM (expanded galaxy map or something) has almost everything to make things way better (too much to list but amazing and he just updated it). Beyond that i added some of the mods reccomemded by that dude plus some others.

I modded out the little brat kid from the start. Modded the dreams to be super short. Modded out the ending so the brat never shows up and "we all win and now we go party at the citadel dlc".

For textures start with ALOT. It will redo all the textures, cutscenes and videos. Also has a suggested mod list and will deal with installing all of them. I downloaded every suggested mod and the god damn game looks amazing.

The way i suggest modding (works for all 3 games). Download everything first. You basically get one time compiling and modding then your stuck with it unless you repeat from the start. Imstall METweak exe and use it to make a back up the game (trust me). Then install ALOT. ALOT will have a list of suggeated mods download them. Now you are ready to mod the shit.

Open the METweak thingy and one by one drag and drop mods (NOT texture mods) into it, load them, then install them. Once all those are done open ALOT and drag and drop all the texture mods into it. Tell ALOT to install and it will smash everything into place (takes a minute). Then you are good to go.

I failed the first time and then figured it out. Ive had to restore from my back up twice but its easy now.

I know you like ME @Zer and this makes ME3 pretty amazing imo. You can take old squad mates on missions if they are on your ship. You have tons of armor and weapons that you can use for squad members. You can have dlc trigger at better times in the story. It feels much better and looks amazing. I have a semi older rig and i have no problems with the 1080 textures. Best modding changes ive seen in a game in a long time.

Sorry for the long post but i was not expecting modding ME3 to be so bad ass.

Cot damn bro thanks for the rundown. Soon as I finish ME2 I'll be all over this

Blasphemous is a real kernt. Bosses are hard af. Now I know why it is called the Dark Souls of Metroidvanias.

Made it to the final boss, but he kicked my ass, so I need to find more relics and rosaries to take him on.

It's pretty much all I've been playing for the past two months.. other than the BL3 DLC.

I'm trying to find something else to play before Mafia 1 remake comes out since I'm kind of burnt out on FO76 now. Just hit level 100 and not much else to do in that game.

I'm stoked about the Brotherhood of Steel expansion dropping even though I'm not a fan of them as a faction. Someone made a post on the fallout 76 subreddit detailing why they're absolute assholes and fucked over the Responders and the Free States then dipped.

I think one of my favorite little quests was tracking down the little kid who was kidnapped. The story was both hilarious and ultimately depressing as hell.

My camp is set up close to Harpers Ferry (being obsessed with John Brown and the Free States after all) and I recently discovered two skeletons sitting next to each other holding a leash and a dog hanging out overlooking the river. I vibe hard with that kind of depressing stuff.

What's your favorite area of the game? The Mire is legit creepy as hell.

I hate the mire because it's always dark. I like the forest and savage divide the most probably. Cranberry bog is okay, but I find myself having to roll in the X-01 armor in there all the time.

My favorite quest was the Nukashine one.

I'm looking forward to the BOS add on for sure. I just need to take a break from the game for a while till they add more stuff.

Are you on Xbox?

PS4. I tend to play really slow. I head into the cranberry bog a lot but rarely in power armorr, but my explosive handmade is always at the ready.

I run a stealth character though. I basically have to creep the entire way. The scourgebeasts usually never spot me but I've been chased halfway across the map by a Sheepsquatch countless times lol.

The Ash Heap is a cool region, the Battle of Blair Mountain is one of my favorite moments in US history so it's cool that it's referenced. I've not spent too much time exploring the area outside of doing the usual events. I fucked around down there at a really low level and the Mole Miners were terrifying.

It's a shame the launch of Fallout 76 was so bungled. I adore the game. What are your thoughts on the story so far?

Finally got to play Carrion and West Of Dead which is voiced by Ron Perlman.

Played a little bit of Grounded. It's a co-op survival game, similar to Sea Of Thieves. There is a warning about the spiders and an option to turn them off (I think, didn't read).

reached the hell house fight in ff7r hard mode, jesus <FutbolThink>

also wall mounted a 22" tv and made the n64 a permanent fixture. for some reason it wouldn't work with the 4k i use for the ps4

Wow. Modded mass effect 3 is super!

lol well what do you know I'm in the middle of a replay myself. I played ME1 last year so I skipped that one. Unfortunately my save got deleted didn't realize it didn't sync with steam cloud. I downloaded a save that did everything I did and called it a day.

I modded the shit out of ME2 with controller support, better textures and better videos etc
