What are you playing now? v2

If you’re level 54 you were pretty over-leveled for Deacons lol. They are mostly a joke but you’d be surprised how difficult they can be. There’s an invisible timer that counts down so if your damage sucks you pretty much can’t beat them.

STRENGTH/dex build. No issue with damage, LOL.

Still though, a mob of scrubs? That's it? Pretty lazy. Reminded me a bit of that DS2 boss in the chapel, who just stands there chucking shitty spells at you, while his mob of peons try to attack you. The dude with the broadsword outside of the boss room is like 100x harder than those Deacons.

Anyways, do you know where to go after that? It seems like a bit of a dead end. I do have the DLC though, so I can always venture into that snowy area, but I'm not sure if my character is ready for it.

Yeah if you can smash them then they’re a joke.

After Deacons I’d suggest the swamp. Your level should be good. It’s a tedious environment but it’s your next big obstacle to really progress the game.

*sigh*

I figured as much. Better grab some poison debuffs.

man I d/ld Disco Elysium maybe about 2 weeks ago, & decided to give it a go last night.

then I learned you can't use a controller for the game.

the fuck man.

I loved the Mako. It was the empty worlds with nothing but the occasional thresher maw and indentikit buildings to find that I didn't like.

Streets of Rogue

Needed a bit of a breather from DS3. Checked out Game Pass, and they've got some interesting new games. This is a decent time waster, but nothing all that special. It's somewhat like "Hotline Miami", only it's a bit more frantic, and directionless. There's some fun to be had, if you put some shackles on how you play it, but it's "anything goes" design, unfortunately makes it a bit too easy and repetitive. It's a blessing and a curse that it lets you basically control the challenge, because most will just utilize completely game breaking "mutations", that essentially work as cheat codes, and just fall into a routine of killing everything with little strategy, and beating the game.

Not a bad effort though, as it really does give you some freedom to approach scenarios in all sorts of ways, but the lack of a coherent design, really makes it a novelty game you'll get sick of rather quickly.

6/10

Dark Souls 3

Since I'm stupid and lazy, I'm just gonna ask here. What are "weapon arts", and do you have to activate them, or are they just referring to the differences of strong and weak attacks? I'm 20 hours deep, and I still don't know what the hell they are.

iirc, you need to be 2-handing the weapon to use them. if you're holding a shield, you can't.

*sigh*

iirc, the poison wasn't that bad. but there were also like 2 bonfires there and another 1-2 nearby or something.

WoW, there aren't any other mmo's and I get bored of other genres real quick.

Hoping Shadowlands is alt friendly.

Blizzard said it will be, but I guess we will see. Can't be anymore unfriendly than BFA.

Re-playing LOU2 thanks to PS4 being a fucking dumb system.

Not looking forward to replaying Sekiro with no NG+ ....

I've been geeking out with MUGEN fighting game engine. Found a really high quality Capcom vs SNK complete build that has me hyped, I thought these MUGEN games were just a bunch of miss matched ugly trash, now I got an absurd amount of hours into making a Marvel vs Capcom game. I have all of the characters and the stages from X-Men Children of the Atom to Marvel vs Capcom converted to 16:9 widescreen and all of the music from these games ripped from a PlayStation assigned to the stages. Still a lot of work to do to get the menus and HUD looking good and I need to add in a patch for a tag team system.

So ya the extent of my actually playing is opening the game to make sure the changes im making work then exiting 100's of times a day.

Replaying FarCry: Primal. Its a solid game. Not sure why it got so much hate. Not every fp game needs to be about machine guns.

Riding a sabretooth and then stotting guys with a stone axe is great fun. Plus there's prehistoric Hurk :D

I'm playing The Last of Us 1. I think more than half way through it now. (It's been awhile) Going to play the DLC after and than The Last of Us 2.

Picked up greedfall last night on xbox sale $12.

probably the best hidden gem I’ve played this whole gen.

haven’t been in the mood to play anything really. Been playing a lot of overWatch again.

picked up GT6 last night and I’m just going through the driving course first.

DLC...the level of Ellie on her own before she meets Joel etc? (I have the remastered version so im unsure if it was dlc).
Its good background for her character.

Completely random but since I haven’t had much time to sit down and play, the Switch has been getting some usage and I started playing Star Wars: Racer.

They just released a remaster of it on the Switch and PS4. The game looks terrible but it’s still a blast to play. It was one of my favorite titles on my N64 back in the day and it’s reminding me why. Feels like an F-Zero Star Wars game. Breakneck speeds, tight tracks, good soundtrack, the pod racers themselves are all pretty unique and interesting.

Pry play this on and off for a bit. I need Sebulba’s pod badly.
