Almost have my platinum trophy for Bloodborne. Only one gold trophy left to go, and that’s killing Gerhman without eating the umbilical chords first. I’ve beaten the game about 5 times over the past four years but every time I’ve played I’ve always eaten the umbilical chords so I could fight the Moon Presence. This most recent play through I did the Chalice Dungeons far enough to beat Queen Yarnham for first time, and I also let Gehrman take my head for the first time ever. Now I’m going to rush through NG+ to take him on without also fighting the Moon Presence and then I’ll have my first ever platinum trophy even though I’ve had a PS3 since 2011 and a PS4 since 2015.

Observation

If you even have a passing interest in claustrophobic space horror/mysteries, give this one a go. It's incredibly polished, and is one of the best directed games I've played. It's nothing that will blow you away in the gameplay department, but it's just so damn tight in every aspect. Essentially, it's the old "wake up on a space station, and shit has gone wrong" premise, but the twist is that you play as the AI. You are not the protagonist trying to get the AI to perform. You are the AI, and it's brilliant in how the game gets that across, and makes you feel like it.

That said, it won't be for everyone, as it is mainly an atmospheric puzzle game. It's not gonna give you that rush that more traditional games do. The only challenge is in figuring out how to progress. No "Game Over" screens here. However, it is so expertly crafted, that I think most will get at least a little something out of it, even if the genre isn't their cup of tea.

My only complaint is that it can get a little cryptic at times, where you're thinking "What the hell am i supposed to do now?", but it's so well designed that you will figure it out eventually. It's not some crazy "Myst" clone. You'll get through it's challenges with a little bit of patience and brain power.

It's not the perfect game for everyone, but for what they went out to accomplish, it's damn near flawless. Check it out. This is such a good hidden gem.

9/10.

I'm finally playing A Thief's End to conclude my Uncharted adventure. Am about 7 hours in at time of writing. Can't wait to be done with it; game just sucks.

It's amazing. I love it. The storytelling is a masterwork and here an art perfected over each game previous. notworthy.gif

Nice, yeah it’s my favorite in the series. I’d love to do another play through.

Mrs fett bought me the remastered collection that has 3, 4, and 5 so I'm going to start over and play the full saga

Was playing M&B Warband Prophesy of Pendor because Bannerlord is going no where.

AC: Odyssey. It's pretty good so far, but Alexios is rather bland.

I was thinking of going through TES: Oblivion with a bunch of mods, but don't really feel like going through the NMM/Vortex hassle.

I'm speechless, bud. This is how you tell a story. I loved those Da Vinci Code films and I almost want not to pick up a controller and just watch as I feel here there's a similar mystery and magic.

Youre gonna love it. The highs in this game are insane, and honestly gorgeous to boot.

UC4 is second to UC2 but many of the later fans prefer UC4.

Never played any before the Xbox versions came out. Fucking love them now. Not keen on the idea of the latest one though, going turn-based for some insane reason,

I saw that. All new protagonist as well. I'm sure itll take one or 2 times playing through to enjoy the new format

I don't know if that's the right direction the combat should go, but they really do need to revamp it. If you've played one Yakuza game, you've played them all, in terms of the combat. I think it still works for what it is, but I won't lie, it does get mind numbing after a short while.

I've been killing time lately by breaking out Rainbow 6 Vegas 2 terrorist hunt.

I think he is referring to the next one coming out being a turn based rpg, as opposed to action based like all the others.

Platinumed Bloodborne tonight. If it’s the only game I ever platinum I’ll be satisfied with that, the game’s a masterpiece.

Since about January of last year I’ll typically have two games on the go: one that I play by myself and another that I play online with my best friend. Playing with my buddy in the last year we did Bloodborne, Dark Souls Remastered and Dark Souls 2. Now that we’re done Bloodborne I think we’ll move on to Remnant From the Ashes next, or possibly Darksiders Genesis.

For solo games I most recently beat Doom Eternal. Next up I think I’ll work at either Command and Conquer Remastered which I recently picked up, or I was thinking about either, Sekiro, Mass Effect Andromeda or the Last of Us Remastered.

I realize that. I'm saying that the combat needed an overhaul. Don't know if turn based is the way to go, but something needed to be done. The combat in Yakuza is beyond stale at this point. They can barely be arsed to even change up the melee weapons. Still the same bicycles, pylons, and street signs...

It's time they tried something a little different.
