weakest ppv card ever?

main event is great but rest of the card seems pretty subpar

If you were looking at it "in a vacuum" UFCs 1-4 could all take the cake for worst of all time.
Imagine if they put that card on today. the lack of skilled fighters, cardio issues. CM Punk could probably do well against 70% of the fighters before you got to the true specialists

I think so too the card is pretty weak outside the title fights.

Not even close to worst PPV ever.

Remember 177?

<DCrying>

Yeah, i don't think its acceptable to put two decent fights on a card and charge ppv prices.

I'm looking at the prelims and pretty much the only name i even recognise is danniele taylor and that name only sticks in my mind as i firmly believe she is the worst fighter on the roster in every way....her fight with moroz was the most boring fight ive ever seen.

How do you post here and not know TJ, Garbrandt, Mighty Mouse and Cub?

I don't know if you remember UFC 177.

Yeah I'm pissed. Super psyched for TJ/Cody but don't want to pay $69 for the one fight im interested in.
Been happening a lot since the sale.
Cheap bastards watering down cards since the day they bought the UFC.

What i dont get is how does that payoff financially when it seems that it only results in much lower purchases ?

228 is way worse. I'd rather watch 135/125 championships than any WMMA or Woodley title fight

No doubt, this fight card is too weak to be on PPV, but Santos is always exciting to watch and Dillashaw vs. Garbrandt 2, Johnson vs. Cejudo 2 and Swanson vs. Moicano are great fights. We've seen far worse PPV cards than this one.

Its filled with a few veterans and alot of new guys Ive heard of, but dont know anything about.

Not worth 65 bucks imo.

It is a pretty weak card based on start power...but the co and main events should be really good. I think Cejudo gives a far better performance than he did last time.

this weekends card is probably the worst ppv card in history in totality from top to bottom...
i barely know any of the fighters outside of the top 2 fights...
how on earth do they think this warrants charging $60+?

It is a shitty card, but maybe not the worst ever.

Yeah 228 is horrible as well.

Pretty sure UFC is just testing the fans, seeing what the limit is for shitty cards.

How many of you sheep will pay for these cards?

Don't give them a dime.

Talk about hyperbole. Two belts on the line and it's the weakest ever? I paid for 108, Rashad vs Thiago Silva once upon a time. It was ok, but still. It wasn't like either of those two were champs or undefeated or riding momentum either - they had both been wrecked by Machida fairly recently leading up to it.

It’s comical that a “weakest ppv card ever” thread seems mandatory for every event nowadays. It has pretty much lost its meaning at this point.

the two title fight rematches and the Cub/Moicano fight raise it above worst ever status, but after that it's not a very strong card.

It's pretty fucking crappy... but it has 2 title fights so it's atleast a 6 out of 10.

Nope... too two fights are great.

Last year and first half of this year had MUCH worse ppv cards

I think some cards turned out worse, but they weren't worse on paper.

The PPV itself isn't that bad (except the WMMA fight). The prelims make this a lackluster card.

But who cares, Cody vs. TJ is one of the best matchups you could possibly make. For me it's up there with a Khabib vs. Ferguson fight.
I'm pretty sure you're one of the very few (if not the only guy) who thinks that Cody vs TJ is as good as Khabib vs Tony. Plus, its a stupid rematch on top of that, fuck that shit.
