Watching MMA Boxing is so much more entertaining than real boxing match.

I've put him back in ignore but for those of you who don't realise canelo used to post as the president, check out his post history about Bradley vs pacquiao.

I'm sure we will. It is interesting how often people combine shit takedown defense with shit boxing technique. I can see that being the area that improves the most, the right stance with the right guard, not swinging for the fences like you're drunk outside a bar.

Thank you for being honest.

You agree, good.

Are you stupid? it is far from moronic. It clearly indicates that a boxer has to be elite at his craft to hit someone because he has limited tools at his disposal. A gp will refer you to a specialist but will know something about what's wrong with you but not be an expert.

MMA is the closest combat sport to real fighting. Fighting doesn't encompass groin kicks, eye gouges etc., that's bitch shit.

Your gp / surgeon analogy is dumb because it's a false equivalency.

You can only train one specialization in boxing. Fighters in MMA are "GPs" sure but elite MMA fighters are specalists in multiple "surgeries". Elite elite muay thai bjj specialists exist, BJJ & wrestling guys exist, elite sambo wrestlers exist, elite kick boxing muay thai specialists exist. Essentially every combination but elite boxing.

Boxing in MMA is still evolving.

Eventually elite boxing will evolve in MMA & it will be part if the skill set.

If anyone wants to see how Donald trump/canelo/the president/mr intelligent scored PAC Bradley last post in the PAC Bradley thread.
Thank you for being honest.

So you agree.

it isn't false equivalency, you can't succeed in modern mma with one speciality, you need a bit of everything.

Boxing I need a lot less but I need to be better at it, it's a very simple concept.

First of all @Sunfish you clearly made a straw man argument and you're making one again.

Ignoring someone bcus you can't out argue their points

Canelo said:
1. He never said MMA was a simulated street fight.

2. He never said MMA had no rules.

Therefore your post is a strawman, as you are replying to points only you have made. I've explained your strawman pretty clearly.

You throw it out there that I was making a strawman but as usual, can't back it up. That's because you're full of shit and not very intelligent.

Nice try, but you lose again dummy.

Using your shallow analogy:

Boxers can perform one surgery

Fighters can perform multiple surgeries, while still being a GP in every other discipline.

Elite MMA fighters can already perform the boxing "surgery". Very soon the top 20 will flawlessly perform the "boxing surgery".

Soon the MMA "boxing surgery" skill set will evolve past the only boxing "surgery".

Future MMA "boxing surgeries" will be tested against wrestling, greco roman, bjj, kickboxing, muay thai, tae kwon do, king fu, jeet kune do etc.

Future MMA "boxing surgery" may not look like the current boxing "surgery" but it will be far more evolved.

Boxing I need a lot less but I need to be better at it, it's a very simple concept.

Another reason boxing rules have already developed their highest skill sets. MMA will constantly evolve & test boxing.

If you think he's making strawman arguments, why do you keep discussing you scumbag?

Wrong. But you two enjoy yourself with that. I've ignored him because he gets drunk or high and follows me around taking pot shots for no reason. Ignoring he broke an IP ban rule in 2012 with me.

Tell me a mma fighter who remotely has boxing at elite level. They don't have it, they are multi disciplined. Like a gp, or maybe you got to surgeons for any ailment.

If you think he's making strawman arguments, why do you keep discussing you scumbag?

I take it upon my self to educate you dorks

So far @Sunfish has quoted me, posted a strawman, I corrected him, he agreed with me then posted another strawman

You have proved nothing, you're just patting yourself on the back, easy to do on the Internet on a topic you aren't familiar with.

There is no debate as to which simulates a real fight. MMA does and boxing doesn't.

He never said MMA was a simulated street fight.

Yea he did.

If you were to see a real fight or at least 10 of them, I would bet many would have no bjj, no kicking, no wrestling and every one would have a punch or multiple punches.
So it would seem that most fights look like a boxing match compared to an mma match.
Its also funny, because many ufc fighters have lost real street fights to nobodys. So much for that mma training

He was comparing boxing and MMA, MMA is obviously much closer to a street fight than boxing. He never at any point said that there's no rules or that MMA was a perfect simulation to a street fight. He made his point perfectly clear, read better.

Most street fights end up on the ground, everyone knows this. Shall we get a collection of youtube fights and see who is right?

You think Floyd KO's Cain Velasquez in a bar fight and can't be taken seriously on any topic that involves MMA. Your incredibly sensitve about this, I'm not sure I've seen a boxing v MMA thread on here or in the heavies that didn't involve you rushing in with the same arguments.

You also think NFL players are the pinnacle of athleticism and that NFL is better than actual football, again, no credibility left.

This was just awful.

You've yet to make a coherent argument.

Leave criticism to thinking adults.

Yea he did.

Real fight /=/ Street fight

Not surprised that you can't read.

Fuck you talking about?

95% of street fights end up on the floor

Floyd would KO Cain. Id probably KO Cain for fuck sake, hes just a wrestler.
Most street fights end on the ground because someone gets punched and hits the ground. Joe Smith Jr vs Bernard Hopkins ended on the ground. Still a boxing match idiot.
And yes NFL Players are better athletes than soccer guys.

And you would lose the youtube battle.

Your "boxing surgery" nonsense was awful.

Are you trying to debate real fights vs street fights.
If you fight on a sidewalk does that mean its a sidewalk fight and not a street fight?
If you fight on 5th avenue is it an Avenue fight and not a street fight?
"95% of street fights end up on the floor?"
Impossible because that would mean they were floor fights and not street fights.

Cain would flatten Floyd in about 30 seconds. We're talking about a real fight, not some bullshit sparring. Put both of them in a bar, Cain slaps the shit out Floyd's girl, what's he going to do, land the jab? He gets crunched almost immediately. You couldn't knock a wank out.

Yeah and the fight doesn't stop when someone hits the ground you dummy, there's no eight counts in a real fight. Pretty much every fight I've ever seen ends up in both guys clinching after missing hayemakers. Add in someone that actually knows how to clinch and grapple and say bye bye.

NFL players are super athletes for 6 seconds. Ronaldo is a better athlete than anyone in the NFL.

Your "boxing surgery" nonsense was awful.

No shit sherlock,

it employed @Sunfish faulty logic.

Another example of you unable to read.

Are you trying to debate real fights vs street fights.

No dingus. I said MMA more closely simulates real fighting than boxing. Real fighting is a FFA of all martial art styles. Real fighting is everything goes besides groin kicks, eye pokes or weapons.

@Sunfish brought up a BS strawman argument about MMA's rule set. Which is still evolving tbh.

You created an argument in your own head about street fighting.

If you fight on a sidewalk does that mean its a sidewalk fight and not a street fight?
If you fight on 5th avenue is it an Avenue fight and not a street fight?
"95% of street fights end up on the floor?"
Impossible because that would mean they were floor fights and not street fights.

This is your best post so far.

It isn't a bs strawman, if you're going to use words at least know what they mean. Also pulling statistics out your ass must be fun. You got them 1920s street fights on video?
