Was anyone in UFC history statistically as dominant as Khabib?

Back when Machida was evasive and elusive the commentators didn't think anyone could solve the puzzle and the Machida era had begun.

I think he went 7-0 in the UFC, took the belt and probably hasn't lost a round until Shogun, barely got touched before that fight.

If only he had a chin like Hendo. Machida would have been a P4P great.

False. He lost several rounds, got battered by Hendricks, dropped by Conduit lost round, lost another round to Shields
How many fights did he have between Sera 1 and Hendricks? Whatever that run was, I recall it being near total domination. Yes Shields won a round, but was getting destroyed until the eye poke. Condit did catch GSP good with a kick, but until then GSP was playing with him.

Hello! My first post here! I think beeing undefeated in the UFC for 13 fights automatically makes him one of the GOATS. The fact that he did not face adversity is false, we are talking about prime Connor Gaetje and Poirer. Not only did he win, but he finished them all 3 in title defenses. I prefer that over a ton of title defenses over fighters who are not at all on that level, kind of what Demetrious did.

Great debates and website here! So happy to have an "old school" forum here :)

The point here is that if they retired after a few title fights at their peak like Khabib as you said, they still wouldn't be as statistically dominant as him round per round.
Not sure about that, did Jones struggled with someone prior to Gustaffson? that was his 6th defense.

Anderson Silva, probably struggled first with Chael Sonnen, who tested positive for everything, and that was his 7th title defense.

Both of them crushed the champion to get the title.
