Bwahahahahah!
Didnt know Jar Jar was in 40K

Nope, runner-up at best. See above.
What's the big issue with those? Elves riding gallimimus. The helmet toppers are stupid (as are the helmet toppers in the entire rest of the faction) and the curls on the bows are a bit much, but a pair of snips fixes both issues without trouble. I don't see anything else really wrong, there's no major anatomy fuckups that are jumping out at me. There's no real fixing what's wrong with the sister's suit design without a ground-up rework.

My Deathwatch Killteam just arrived. Now I need to put it together and paint...

And create some intricate backstory for the team members.

They are riding kangaroos.

Which of these do you think the models more resemble:
Gallimimus-bullatus-5.jpg

Kangaroos don't have long necks, long fingers, ity-bitty heads, or run by stepping on alternating feet.

Thing is, the mental image of certain animals are ingrained in people's psyches, and the mental image of certain animals aren't. Not only do I genuinely think that thing looks more like a kangaroo than a lizard, I also don't walk around with any prior knowledge of what a gallimimimus since it is an extremely obscure animal. I do know what a kangaroo looks like, and that thing looks very much like a kangaroo.

So you've never seen Jurassic Park?

I'm guessing this is a generational thing and that movie didn't hit you at the right age to make the same kind of impression. I'm 35 so JP came out when I was 8 and it (and dinosaurs in general) were pretty much all anybody in school were talking about for the better part of a year.

Hmmm, what do we have here? Is that... a free-standing titan?! It is!

I got the legs painted and was able to glue them up. I just need to do the dozen tiny pistons at the hip joint and the lower body will basically be done. This is everything that could be assembled without gluing, either because it's screwed together (like the arms and head) or friction fit (like the armor panels). I think the next part to tackle will be painting the main body; it's a big piece but it should actually be less fiddly than the weapons.

*also, again the flash made the blue way too bright and I was, again, too lazy to color-correct the picture

I love the action pose. That thing is looking good.

Thanks! I'm just happy that it turned out the center of gravity was over the feet and it actually stands on its own without needing a base. It's one of those things that's really tough to judge until it's actually all together.

Primaris captain coming along slowly but nicely

Thanks, my first models I painted years ago turned out pretty meh, good equipment makes a huge difference (cheap brushes and paints vs Good paint and brushes with a variety of sizes helps a lot) haven't done my shade washes yet so I can't wait to get this one finished.

The Oath turned out better than I expected, I have an effects paint that is supposed to be glistening blood, but that shine fits the wax purity seal really well.

Man!

You all are talented! I have to buy my figures pre made. I like Warhammer figures but I don't play it.
