I'm looking at this real estate investment company. Doing research on their hotels. Wanna make sure they aren't involved with that Wynn guy and check out reviews of their places.

Hilton Times Square: looks good. good ratings

Renaissance Westchester: same thing

Boston Marriott Long Wharf: same thing. Marriott has been killing it this year

Boston Park Plaza: this one is still good but a little worse than the rest

actually they have too many to list. A bunch of nice ones in CA too. a bunch in the DC/Maryland area. New Orleans. Chicago. Texas. I am in.

Oregon
California

Wasn't a lot of in the mountains? Like pounding the shit out of these remote areas where Bin Laden was supposedly hiding in a cave. I mean, what were they even bombing? lol. I remember before Bin Laden was killed I asked a military guy who served there if he thought Bin Laden was dead. He said, "Dude, we dropped so many bombs on that fuckin place, he has to be dead."

You don't seem like a military type. I am certainly not.
We bombed the shit out of cities in the beginning to force out the Taliban and destroy infrastructure. Kandahar and Kabul, and a third I forget were major targets. I don't know about later on & the ratio of bombing in the mountains vs bombing civilization, but we hit any place troops or equipment were. Bin Laden had already slipped into Pakistan when we hit Tora Bora I think.

I'm not even close to a military type. Good thing I bounced after my 6 years lol.

The story goes that Picasso was sitting in a Paris café when an admirer approached and asked if he would do a quick sketch on a paper napkin. Picasso politely agreed, swiftly executed the work, and handed back the napkin — but not before asking for a rather significant amount of money. The admirer was shocked: “How can you ask for so much? It took you a minute to draw this!” “No”, Picasso replied, “It took me 40 years”

The increased use of drone strikes under Obama was always something I was highly critical of, given the associated civilian deaths.

Note that Cubo's claim about the civilian death rate is absurdly exaggerated (takes an anomalous period as normal). See: http://www.slate.com/articles/news_...alties_would_be_much_higher_without_them.html. Of course saying that drone warfare is better for civilians of a country than other forms of warfare is not to say that it's not horrible.

The idea that Trump has removed the oversight on those strikes and massively ramped them up, resulting in a massive increase in civilian deaths, is a huge concern.

Funnily enough his campaign rhetoric about those attacks creating more terrorists was actually on point. Pity it was just rhetoric.

One of the most disappointing things of the Trump era is seeing the extent to which right-wing "libertarians" are willing to put what they can claimed to be their ideology below partisanship. Evangelicals, too. Something that most people had at least suspected, but still sad to see it confirmed.

Everything I've heard from friends that were in at the time was the rumors of Bin Laden being in Tora Bora were there from day 1 and it took 3 years before anyone was allowed to go hunting up there.

allegedly, the Air Force.

The world's longest lasting light bulb is the Centennial Light located at 4550 East Avenue, Livermore, California. It is maintained by the Livermore-Pleasanton Fire Department. The fire department claims that the bulb is at least 116 years old (installed 1901) and has only been turned off a handful of times. The bulb has been noted by The Guinness Book of World Records, Ripley's Believe It or Not!, and General Electric as being the world's longest-lasting light bulb.

Watched the lightbulb conspiracy. about planned obsolescence. Apple are masters at that.

a policy of producing consumer goods that rapidly become obsolete and so require replacing, achieved by frequent changes in design, termination of the supply of spare parts, and the use of nondurable materials.

my cats make me feel like a ghost. I am standing there telling them to come in and they are just staring into space like I am not even there. Totally ignoring me. It is from like one of those movies when a dead person is trying to contact the living.

You know what, that's one of the best descriptions of a cat I've ever seen. Just lol. How many do you have?

This is why cats are only good for kicking and selling to Chinese restaurants.

If that toe comes anywhere near my Dyno I'm gonna...
I don't actually feel that way about cats but I personally would never own one. Fuckers piss everywhere and paw their shit then proceed to climb everywhere.

Give me these all day every day:

Two. I took in a stray kitten this summer. Well he was less than a year old anyway. He fuckin likes the snow. He will sit in a snowbank or rest in the snow like it is grass or the sidewalk. It is new to him. He also has a much higher cold tolerance than my older cat. His fur is much thicker, I don't know if that is the only reason though. And these idiots, do they realize when I am standing outside how much colder it is for me than them? lol. I don't have fur. I can't take those conditions.

Basically cats couldn't give less of a shit about how were are doing. Mine fucks with me about the cold too. Like making me wait until late at night to let him in the garage. He's good down to about 15 degrees F and he won't come inside a moment sooner. So my ass is always getting up after midnight (when the chill really kicks in) to let his ass in.

Same fuckin thing man. Getting them in and out is a fuckin chore. All hours of the night. I mean, I could leave them out but they will die. They also have a temp that they come in at. If it is above around 15 the new cat is ok. The old cat needs to be brought in in the 20s.

And my old cat hates my new cat. I think he feels usurped. That netflix documentary I told you about said that cats rarely get along in the same house unless they are introduced to each other very early. That has been my experience. As a kid we had 2 cats and they were not friendly with each other. Now the same thing again. I see videos on youtube of two cats hanging out and being cool with each other, seems fake. lol

It's funny, I look at the thermometer/temperature to gauge whether I should let the cats in or not. lol. It is 26 now. The new cat is fine. Old cat is in. They do have fuckin temperatures.

I accidentally clicked my location, and it pulled up google maps, who informed me they cannot find "emergency groin surgery" near me.
