It's a disparaging remark. Butthead is a slur. But I don't think it's necessary to expound upon why it's okay to call someone butthead and not a n****r. If we decided that "all slurs are not allowed" the board lexicon would be cut in half because almost any noun can be used as a slur. I can call you a donkey. You can call me a toilet seat. Given that we obviously aren't making factual statements that the other is an animal or household appliance, it's meant as a slur.

Also, what he may mean when he says "slur" is one related to a social class, though (sexual orientation, race, ethnicity, religion, sex, etc.)

Have you seen someone call a gay woman the d-word on here? If they did, I would assume they would be banned. If they called a straight woman or man that, I'm not sure. But I don't think that's at-all common.

I would say it's not filtered because it's simply not nearly as common of a slur as the f-word and doesn't have near the historical venom (just like "fairy" or "nancy" doesn't for gay men). The f-word for gay people might be the single most hateful slur in the English language.
