"Funny" might not be the right word but it always amazes me the amount of minorities who are currently incarcerated at either the county/state level (jails) or in prison that use the Sovereign Citizen/Free Men of the Land arguments to claim they never should have been charged or that they aren't who is charged (usually claiming the last name isn't their name or some shit).

Why do I say this? The fucking philosophy was started by white supremacists in the midwest and the mountains of like Utah, Wyoming, Colorado, Idaho, and Montana as a means to avoid having to follow the fucking Civil Rights Act. It literally exists for racist whites to go "I don't have to follow US law but get all the benefits of living in the US"

It's sad that I know this is from the King Kong Bundy match.

These crank arguments don't so much have meanings as they have functions. In that sense, it doesn't matter that they might contradict one another, so long as they perform the function.
Is the function to exhaust rational, good faith debaters so they get frustrated and a) disengage from the debate or b) express anger and impatience, in either case giving the person who made the argument a "victory"?

Fucking fuck.

Transferred truck insurance from WA to Utah back on May 23. Yesterday, get letter in the mail claiming that State Farm is fucking cancelling my policy because "you have not provided the necessary information concerning John Doe (dad) and his spouse (my mom) to enable us to complete an underwriting review)"

WTF, I'm still basically connected to my parents insurance policy cause it gives THEM a bit of a discount as well as me cause none of us have ever been in an accident or made a claim. GGGGRRRRRR.

Call the State Farm office I went to and naturally... "the person that can find this information easily is out of the office this week" so now I am waiting on whoever is there to make a call to the main Underwriting Office to find out WTF is going on. Goddamnit.

Greg, who cuts the crust off you sandwiches when you're in Utah?

I don't eat sandwiches.

And I only stayed "connected" to my parents policy to get myself a discount basically. I get billed separately for my life insurance and truck insurance so....

Anyone have any idea on what's going on with that post of mine about State Farm? I've never had this happen in like the 10-12 years I've had to worry about truck/car insurance.

You have Portland which makes San Francisco look like a red city at times then the rest of Oregon that minus the lack of the accent would be right at home in the Bible/rust belt
yeah, it happens. I had my mortgage company tag on their own insurance until I showed proof of insurance when I changed companies.
I'd just call them and reenroll, or better yet, use this moment to maybe find a better deal.

It just seems so weird cause when I transferred the policy over my dad was with me as he helped me drive out here and we were told, at least as far as I remember, we did everything we had to do that day.

To quote one of the attorneys I work with:
"Someone at the underwriting office gave your review to the new hire because you don't even have a speeding ticket thinking it'd be easy for them not realizing you are on your own policy but sorta connected to your parents in order to get a discount and they didn't use a fucking search bar to find your folks' info."

I would just give them a call.

Anyone ever been to summerfest in Milwaukee? Tips on parking or surving the traffic without wanting to strangle someone?
