Haven't seen one in MO. I've seen a fair few in UT and OR though (but I lived in those places longer + going back in time = more confederate flags).
It's certainly a mixed can of nuts lolOregon is really weird too that way.
You won't see it in the city, but you'll see plenty in rural communities. Probably even St. Charles. Last year I was driving through West Belleville, IL and saw a house flying a giant confederate flag less than a block away from a playground full of black (and white) kids playing. Pissed me off something fierce.
You have Portland which makes San Francisco look like a red city at times then the rest of Oregon that minus the lack of the accent would be right at home in the Bible/rust beltIt's certainly a mixed can of nuts lol
Anyone have any idea on what's going on with that post of mine about State Farm? I've never had this happen in like the 10-12 years I've had to worry about truck/car insurance.
They probably became suspicious of your father's name being John Doe.
Everyone knows Doe is an English name and you're Asian American.

I think people get too hung up on trying to pin him and his voters in a conservative/liberal spectrum when it's more accurate to describe them on a social dominance spectrum. Their true guiding principles aren't political in nature, but rather about enforcing hierarchical and resisting egalitarian social orders. It explains a lot of the contradictions that conservatives (and some liberals, for that matter) seem to hold when it comes to ideology vs policy.Lol it is odd to think. A system designed to prevent a populist resulted in the election of a man who is neither backed by the people, institutions or academics.
A true political Frankenstein. All of the xenophobia of a demagogue without any of the populist economic proposals
And it's not just Trump, the GOP is adopting all of it. Now the Governor of Arizona is trying to kick Nike out of the state because they won't make shoes with the original American flag on it lol
Sorry I've never had to deal with keeping out of state family insurance.Anyone have any idea on what's going on with that post of mine about State Farm? I've never had this happen in like the 10-12 years I've had to worry about truck/car insurance.

This insurance bullshit has me legit stressedSorry I've never had to deal with keeping out of state family insurance.
Oregon is a bit more varied than that imo. In the east you have Bend which is a quad espresso in city form, and surrounded by farmers and hillbillies scattered over the desert. The I-5 corridor in the middle has the Eugene area which is mostly dominated by the colleges but sprawls a bit and includes all kinds of people. Further south around Medford-Ashland it's again more liberal but also varied. Most other places have farmers and hillbillies with a side of redneck, with a healthy touch of meth head bikers and white separatists. There are some Christian cults here and there, like the Applegate Fellowship, but religion is not all that big generally speaking.
Reminds me of Steve King having a confederate flag on his desk even though Iowa was a Union state. It gets hard to defend that the Confederate flag isn't just a shibboleth for shitheads.
Oh yes if Utah state troopers love one thing, it's free men on the land. You're in Utah now, time to claim that you are a sovereign citizen who doesn't need insurance.
Just remember you aren't driving, you're traveling
Did a screening for a juvie that claims to be a sovereign citizen the other day. At the end:You're in Utah now, time to claim that you are a sovereign citizen who doesn't need insurance.
Just remember you aren't driving, you're traveling
While that would be amusing, anyone trying to argue Democrats=KKK likely doesn't have enough good faith to acknowledge they've trapped themselves in a cornerIt also puts Dinesh D'Souza and others who try to rewrite history in a bad spot. But somehow you never see "actually Confederates/Nazis were on the left" people argue with "actually Confederates/Nazis were good" right-wingers.

I actually do have some insights into this subject, though, both because I have had to deal with similar issues and because I took a class in law school on insurance regulations and specifically the legal constraints on underwriting insurance policies.
If you still have your last-issue card (see below), you'll be in better shape:
![]()
What you need to do is aggregate the following materials:
- Your parents' policy number
- The make and model of all vehicles that you personally insured under that policy
- All of your SSN's (including your mom's if she's named in the policy)
- A certified driving record from the Department of Motor Vehicles in every state in which you lived while under that plan (I'm guessing just Washington?)
- A copy of your latest (full-pay period) pay check
- Anything that shows your current in-state address (utility bill, etc.)
- The VIN number of your current vehicle
Now, take all of those materials to the State Farm office
