No preferential treatment should be given to one person amongst equals. Yes. You have a problem with that? Obviously because here you are equating biologically men to women. And that is crazy talk.

Calling that crazy talk is now labeld bigotry by the new wannabe overloads driven by nihilistic hate.

@Fawlty @Falsedawn

Sitting here thinking about it, the fact that the Soviets were fighting against Nazi Germany really kinda sweeps under the rug for most history books in public school what a colossal piece of shit Stalin was. Like, growing up all I remember was "yeah, Stalin wasn't a great guy but he fought Hitler for us. Moving on"
"Then what happened to all the gypsies, homosexuals, and non Slavs in Soviet Russia"
"I SAID WE'RE MOVING ON!!!"

Stalin was a great attack dog. Dude had the mentality necessary to dismantle the German war machine with great prejudice.

Where we slipped up was letting the attack dog stick around into peace time. Ideally Truman would have slipped a mickey to that cat and we could have dumped him in the Volga.

Who cares if you agree or disagree with them about stuff? You're not learning from agreeing, and they're not insightful. A bit that I heard was RP pushing a stupid CT about inflation and making his usual claims about some kind of debt apocalypse. How does an educated person benefit from this other than in a kind of juvenile, "laugh at the morons" way?
Most of the conversation was about the military industrial complex and associated political issues. These are among the most important issues our nation faces. I think the economics stuff is very complicated and I will not endorse Paul's view but it was a minor part of the conversation.

I believe we have a crisis of masculinity in our society.
Used to agree, disagree now. We have a problem with people mis-representing what "masculine" means. To many they think it means being an "alpha" or a colossal douchebag piece of shit.

Nah, it means you provide for whatever your family is, you're a support pillar when people needs help and you open the fucking pickle jar at home as well.

The rest of it like having tattoos, growing a beard, and that shit is just addition "optional" things.

Didn't Patton before his death and a couple other generals want to just keep rolling through Germany and start shooting Russians right after the war?

I'm wary of accepting this on face value (I don't watch Maddow), but she's not part of the MSM and not a reporter anyway.

If you pull it back to "some talk-show hosts overplayed the investigation," I would agree with that. But if you were following MSM reporting on the issue, the Mueller report mostly just confirmed what you had read and added a bit more. If you were following the alt-press, you got egg on your face.
I'm not following the conversation closely so maybe someone mentioned it but I think the MSM's coverage of the Mueller report was phenomenal. It was so good that the Mueller report didn't have the "wow" factor it should have since a lot of the findings were already public.

This was the case when I came up through K-12. It was acknowledged that Stalin was a total monster but the focus was Hitler. I don't know what kids' history textbooks look like today. I think it's also easier to teach Hitler as his motives were more nefarious, more obviously evil. Whereas Stalin was a worst-case scenario tyrant, Hitler's megalomania was much greater. In any case, by the time we grow up we get the gist of the horror that was Stalin. The figure we don't spend enough time on is Mao, imo. Very interesting & complicated where Hitler and Stalin were quite straightforward.

Operation Unthinkable

It would have been one of the most colossal losses of life ever, especially since nukes would have been on the table. Very slim odds, but things would have been way different if they had tried it. Not even sure who would win.

Agree.

I think these are usually signs of being BETA. Real masculinity has nothing to do with any of that, and many people who go that route are trying to compensate for their weakness.

How about just dealing with the issue.

Aside from the fact that I was very clearly talking about affirmative action and not a running race?

He knew that, that's why you're offering yourself up instead of him. Aren't you a wonderful simp.

I see room for me to pull back, but how is Rachel Maddow not part of the MSM?

She has an opinion show, and it's on a specialty media channel.

Most of the conversation was about the military industrial complex and associated political issues. These are among the most important issues our nation faces. I think the economics stuff is very complicated and I will not endorse Paul's view but it was a minor part of the conversation.

I don't think it's so much complicated as that Ron Paul is saying stuff that is wrong and crazy.

It's not disconnected. Regarding battle sluts: it's fine to have fun at no one's expense. It's also important to call out weak males ("betas") in the service of encouraging them to become real men. Maybe the nomenclature turns you off. I believe we have a crisis of masculinity in our society.

Can you elaborate on this?
