I’m familiar with the four immeasurables of Buddhism and try to live my life in accordance with that. In my work I’m confronted with acts of evil daily, almost constantly even. I was made “hard” long ago, but it helps me from becoming cruel and averse. I do have compassion even for people who’ve done evil things.

One of the best dessert shops in the country closed up here like hella abruptly.

Turns out one of the cofounders was having topless pool parties and fucking some of the staff. The thing is though, the Drifter is a top optional pool, where I imagine this took place.

I'll miss those fucking macaroons but it sucks for 80 employees to be immediately out of work.

If you pull it back to "some talk-show hosts overplayed the investigation," I would agree with that. But if you were following MSM reporting on the issue, the Mueller report mostly just confirmed what you had read and added a bit more. If you were following the alt-press, you got egg on your face.

I'm actually interested to see how Greenwald would respond to an authentically socialist and internationalist president/administration. Personally, I'm open about the fact that I am an internationalist and would openly support a president like, say, Bernie Sanders allying with left-wing governments, groups, and movements abroad, withdrawing support from right-wing allies, and making political atonement to countries like Laos. I fully suspect he'd agree on the second two, but I'm not so sure about the first considering he seems to be a dogmatic libertarian first and foremost. That is, I would support the theoretical Bernie providing arms and even direct military support to groups like the FMNL in the 1980s and 1990s. But I'm guessing that, due to excess deaths that can be directly traced to that support and the inherent volatility of dissident groups to become reactionary themselves, he would not.

It's not disconnected. Regarding battle sluts: it's fine to have fun at no one's expense. It's also important to call out weak males ("betas") in the service of encouraging them to become real men. Maybe the nomenclature turns you off. I believe we have a crisis of masculinity in our society.
